About Estes Park Dog Park
Estes Park Dog Park is a great and convenient location for dogs to stretch their legs. It is a beautiful, well-kept up park with lots of room, completely fenced in and located on a lake. The park features a few different fenced areas, including an agility area and a regular open play area. One space has agility equipment, while the open area leads to the water front where dogs can swim, though it is noted that the area is arranged so dogs cannot get in the water in one section. There is also a little pond area. The park provides many amenities, including toys, tennis balls, a chuck it, water, and bags available to pick up excrement for placement in a closed trash bin. There is a wind shelter for visitors to stay warm. Dogs enjoy running around, doing zoomies, chasing other dogs, and swimming. The park is a five star stop where dogs can have a great time and get some exercise. It is recommended for visitors with dogs in Estes Park. However, a significant drawback is that many people have not cleaned up after their pets, leaving tons of poop all over the place, which is a shame given the evident consideration and effort put into the park. There is construction nearby, so access requires approaching from the south, but it is otherwise easy to get to. The park may be more popular in the morning, and while its winter operation is uncertain, it is believed to be beautiful in the spring and summer.
