We rented snowshoes and poles here for RMNP. The process was very quick, we were out in 15 minutes with recommendations for a place for breakfast, where to go cross country skiing (on another day), and assurances that the roads into RMNP were now open (they'd been closed for black ice but the staff was on it, making sure we could use our rentals). The rentals were inexpensive, reliable (MSR snowshoes), and in good condition. We will definitely rent here again.

Our family was leaving on a trip to Iceland in a few days including a two year old. We needed a backpack to carry the toddler. A staff member patiently helped & advised us while we put the kid into every toddler-carrier they had and walked around inside & outside the store to try each one. The one we really loved had waist/hip straps that weren't long enough for one of our family members. Another employee, Dave, volunteered to take the pack home with him and to both provide, and sew on new extra long straps to solve that issue. Dave did indeed do that for us, and refused to accept any money! Absolutely amazing customer service!

Rented camping gear here. Dave was very helpful in helping us find things we needed. He ever called up another store to check for things they were out. Very kind and generous too as he was happy to extend our rental as we were unable to get back in time

Prices were disappointingly much higher than Cabelas on most of their inventory. Nice shop but not an Out let store by any stretch. A nice shop just way to high on price.

An amazing outdoor store which has everything you’ll need. You can also rent gear here too. We rented a bear canister for a very small expense. Highly recommend.

I got my bike service here and the guy was awesome. Took his time explained everything to me and made great suggestions. The place has just about everything you need to enjoy the Colorado outdoors. You can even climb the wall and rent bikes. Great place.

Our experience here was incredible. The service we received from Austin was some of the best customer service we’ve ever had. We rented poles and helmets for eleven people. When Austin couldn’t find the right size helmet for me, he loaned me his personal one. I summited Long’s Peak with that helmet. Thanks Austin. I uploaded a photo for you.

I needed water shoes ASAP for a white water rafting trip and after several unsuccessful stops in town I’m SO GLAD I found this store!! From the second I walked in I was asked how I could be helped and within less than five minutes I had what I needed and was out the door!! It was a wonderful experience and their inventory and selection is HUGE!! I will definitely be back!

I specifically rented an E bike from this company because they do the tours of the Old Fall Rivers Road to the Alpine Center. The person who rented me the bike told me not to charge it for more than four hours. So that night I charged it for exactly 4 hours. The next day I took off on my ride. I made it 4.5 miles, then the battery died. It is a one-way road! I had to push 50 pound bike 6 miles with an elevation gain of over 2500 feet starting at 9500 feet. I am 58 years old woman. When I complained them, the worker just brushed it off like it wasn’t a big deal. It was a big deal! They should train their staff better.

We had the BEST experience renting E-Bikes at the Mountain Shop! We loved biking around Estes Lake and a few other places recommended by the staff. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. They are laid back and very helpful. The shop is filled with awesome gear and deals. We went back multiple times during our trip!

Staff was top notch. Also appreciated that I had input on what bike I wanted to ride. There is a path around the lake immediately behind the shop with 99% concrete. Super easy ride and multiple places to stop and take photos. This path is for beginners for sure. We made it around in 35 mins the first lap and about 25 min the second time. If you want intermediate and above you'll probably physically have to take the bikes someplace. We really enjoyed the lake ride and would highly recommend for any quick date.

Heaven on Earth! Plan ahead, you need a Nat park Pass and a timed reservation to enter Rocky Mtn Nat Park or we ride the insanely convenient hikers shuttle out of the visitor's center. Can't wait for our next trip here !
