We adopted when they were still the Weld county humane society before, it was okay but we were debating whether we would ever adopt from them again. After the merger, I can confidently say I would. The staff is so kind and visibly cares about the animals that are in their care. They were kind to me, kind to others and excited for every dog that got to go home. I went in 3 times over the course of 4 days waiting for the dog I wanted to be up for adoption. Every single day I went in the staff were kind, answered questions, and did what they could. Wonderful folk and wonderful pups.

Adopted an 8 month old kitten from here a couple weeks ago, and although she is lovely and the adoption process was easy, she did not seem to be treated for anything they said she was treated for. She came home with a URI which they swore she didn't have and if she did they would have treated her. Uri was confirmed by a vet two days after adoption. Recently noticed she has worms in her stool. She was supposedly treated with dewormer in the shelter. What they do is good but as this was my first time adopting from a shelter, I am very disappointed in the supposed treatment my girl was supposed to have gotten.

Hadn’t been in for a while so yesterday while dropping off some donations for the shelter went inside and was absolutely horrified about conditions in the front kitty areas. Very dirty in general, feces mixed in with cat food food on the floor, horrible smell, FIV positive cat caged but not isolated. No clue why Larimer and Weld Humane Societies merged but I assumed merger would be positive for the animals but based on one post-merger visit I’d say conditions have significantly deteriorated. I really feel for kitties in that front holding area.

These people are cruel and obnoxious. we came to find a cat we had lost and the people yelled at us immediately when we walked in. then it took them 25 minutes to even talk to us when there wasnt even many people there. the proceed to take my friend to one out of four rooms they had for cats.we had to talk to another work to see the others. they are in very INHUMANE enclosures. very sad to see people who claim to care about animals treating them so poorly. should be called the INHUMANE SOCIETY

If i could give this place 0 stars i would. the staff here is 100% incompetent. i sat in the waiting area for over 20 minutes before being helped and it wasnt even help. she took my frist name and made me wait another 15 minutes. i got taken to 1/4 rooms and told my cat wasnt in the building. i finally got a different staff member to show me the rest of the rooms and she wouldnt even let me see if one of the cats had 3 legs (which my cat does). I drove 45 minutes back home and had a feeling it was my cat. i called back and spoke to a wonderful employee names gaberial. he was so helpful and went to check for he. unfortunately he wasnt my cat but it was nice to have some sort of closure. I would like to mention the tiny crates the cats are kept in and the unclean demolished cells the dogs are kept in. Then while waiting i was petting a cat that was in the lobby in a small cage and a dispicable old lady rudely yelled at me and my friend to not touch the cats. this place is terrible and should lose their license. they should rename it the unhumane society!!!

The people who work at this location are all incredibly rude and seem to be completely incompetent. I came to help a friend find a lost pet they claimed they had. It took them 15 minutes to even have someone come talk to us when there we're only 3 other people there. We told them the cat had only 3 legs which didn't help them come to any conclusions even though you'd think that would be something they would have written in the cats descriptions or visible in the pictures. When my friend back to look at the lost cats they only took her to 1 out of the 4 rooms of lost cats and came to the conclusion that they didn't have him. The cat they thought might be hers was put in a small crate they called a feral crate and told her if it was hers they didn't know what the next steps would even be. My friend had to ask another worker there if they had any more cats in order to go back and see the other rooms. While my friend was back in the rooms I was trying to play with some of the younger cats who looked sad in their small cages and a rude older woman working there told me aggressively to take my hands away from the cages and to leave the cats alone. I have honestly never been so annoyed with a shelter. The organization and customer service was absurd. They would be better off hiring people who are competent and capable than animal obsessed control freaks.

It wasn't open yet. They were in the parking lot while repairs were being done. I had my deceased killy with me. I wanted to cremate her and bring her ashes home like I have done with my other kitties. They said they didn't do that anymore. What a shame! I liked the service they provided. I wish that service would please, please come back!

So annoyed. Every time we visit, the staff is always so rude. Right now, we went to go pick up our friend because her cat was missing. It says it closes at 6pm, and when we get there at 5:15pm, the doors are locked. We wait there and ring for a good 2 minutes until the one of the 10 staff in there opens for us and tells its it’s closed. WHY WOULD YOU GUYS CLOSE A WHOLE 45 MINUTES EARLY?! Wasted our time. I hate this place and it’s staff so much. Also it needs renovation. It’s hideous inside. The one in Loveland is sooooo much cleaner, spacious and better than this ugly one. I say you guys need better staff and a better building

I have adopted 2 dogs from here. The staff cares so incredibly. They haven't had enough staff for sometime. Being overworked and performing miracles amongst being the most busy I have ever seen has made me in awe of these people. The dogs were properly cared for. The people disclosed all information they had and spent a lot of time with me doing doggy meet n greets between my dog and the ones I've adopted. Even crazy busy, the staff is so professional and kind. Im almost sad to see the merge with Larimer county because these people are the bees knees. I hope the new ones can be as kind and good.

Adopting an animal and saving it from living in a kennel and giving it a purpose is one of the most rewarding experiences you'll ever have. We have adopted 21 animals so far in my lifetime -- all wonderful and so precious. The only downfall of this particular shelter is you will have to endure being treated like garbage, usually for hours, as the painful process ensues. Nevertheless, we will continue adopting from the shelter. It is too bad that this shelter has been cursed with such horrible, rude and downright cruel human beings for so long. I feel bad for the animals. I pray the takeover by larimer county Humane starts by cleaning house and removing the toxic employees, management and leadership/board members who took it into the ditch in the first place. I cannot even fathom how their failed policies and leadership coupled with absolutely incompetent and terribly rude staff has hindered helping animals over the years.

This place is amazing! These guys really put so much love, time and effort into each relationship with their animals and their customers. I came in today to potentially adopt and the two young girls at the front desk were extremely friendly and very helpful! I would recommend adopting from these guys any day! Shoutout to everyone who helped me today, you guys rock!

The staff and volunteers here are wonderful. Just wanted to give a shout-out to Noel the volunteer. He went out of his way to help us find our kitten Calliope. He was super patient and had so much to tell us about getting her used to our other cat, what food, etc. thank you!!

Wow, you guys got a low rating. Your staff could be a little bit more friendly. I dropped off some stuff and one of the managers says I don’t really care. And she proceeded to yell at a mother and her daughter, because they wanted a puppy. So my donations will go to other places that would gladly except it.No wonder Laramie Animal shelter is going to take over you guys
