Working with Block Advisors has been a very bad experience. Errors on our taxes. The error for the state was resolved and we received a substantial rebate owed to us. Small error on the Federal return. We received a letter from IRS stating that the amended return did not have the correct information and we have a 30-day window to reply. I can live with these errors if they are resolved in a timely manner. Unfortunately, that is not happening through Block Advisors. I have had numerous issues getting an appointment scheduled. First appointment was virtual and it was a NO SHOW with the Block Advisors. I called and they said they would let the Advisor know that we were waiting. Still NO SHOW. I left a message in the portal and asked for a reply. NO REPLY. I called Block Advisors and scheduled an in-person appointment. I received an email that the appointment was changed to a day that I was not available. So, I called and they said the appointment was changed because it was scheduled on a day the office was not open. They changed the appointment to Friday - today. They assured me the office would be open. I drove to the office today and the office is closed. I sat outside their office and called them. I could hear the phone ringing in the office but I could not leave a message because their MESSAGE BOX is Full. What kind of way is this to run a business. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I called the general Block Advisors number and I was disconnected three times. I finally got through and they have now scheduled me for next Wednesday. Once again, they have assured me that they will be open on Wednesday. This has been a nightmare.

Really wanted this not to be true, but recommend avoiding this location. I normally would wait until a problem occurs, but this doesn’t look good again for the third year in a row. We stuck with this location even when we moved and that has ultimately been a mistake. They seem to have a particularly difficult time the last few years managing the portal. In the past, this only amounted to long communication delays. This year, however, whomever configured their location in the portal listed the Administrative Assistant as a Tax Preparer. I confidently selected this person when I loaded my docs to the portal Mar 15, as the last thing I would expect on a list of tax pros would be -someone who isn’t.Before this was clear though, I was relieved at first to see a message on the app that “a tax pro is working on your return. “I’ll just give you the short version-it just wasn’t true. I called. They asked who the tax pro was. And then the problem was explained. They couldn’t change it, which is honestly doubtful (maybe a training issue). They asked me to fix it from my end. Unfortunately, once assigned, there was no way I found to change my tax pro on the site or the app. I certainly could have missed it, but the option didn’t seem to be present.I drove hard copies of the docs to the office and I’ve been given a verbal that it’s being worked on, but I’m not feeling good about it as the federal deadline edges nearer. BTW-the Administrative Assistant is a very nice person and this is not her fault. So, I’m posting this here just to make sure someone else avoids the same issues. It might be a technology thing, and if you do your prep in person, you might not have these issues.Either way, sorry to say - be careful if you go with them. Taxes are stressful enough.

Bad experience. It took a month to get an appointment with Tamara. She called the week prior to our appointment and reaffirmed the time. She also confirmed that while she is changing jobs that she would be able to do our taxes. She did not show up for the appointment and then followed up by saying that she would not be able to do our taxes. Frustrating.

Meredith is amazing. She feels like one of the family, and she's great about talking us through different scenarios. Never feels like we're being rushed out of the office (especially late into tax season), but she's so fast at the same time (our taxes were pretty straightforward this year). Love working with her.

We've always done our own taxes, but this last year was a bit more complicated for us so we decided to try them as we have heard decent things about them. They did not do anything more then the free version that is online, but we paid $300. Thinking we would be able to call and speak to someone with questions and concerns. We've had issues with the taxes for this year and every time we call to speak to someone, they don't call us back or email us back. I can strongly say we will never use them again and recommend that people go elsewhere.

If you can spell the word “ useless”then you know the answer to where you should do your insurance. My advice is educate yourself on the basics get yourself a real CPA not the routing errors want to be, can cut it in a real professional firm, people that work for H&R Block. They will screw up the very basic of filing such as sending your return in! Not honor their guarantee to cover the late fees due to their own screwup and lead you down a road of endless calling trees that frustrates you and you’ll do all the work yourself anyways. Avoid at all cost

I am very disappointed with this company. They made an error on my return by putting down the wrong address(something we had made very clear to them, they even got it correct on another family members return) but because of their incompetence my return is now delayed a minimum of 10 weeks. When I tried to call them they told there was nothing that they could do to fix this and rather that I would need to deal with the state directly. If you want your return to actually get to you I would recommend going elsewhere.
