Very nice people and decent selection of items. I go when I am in a bind and don’t want to drive down the hill. Reason for just three stars are the prices are insane since new ownership. Not sure why this area thinks it should charge like it’s vail.

BEST 'GAS STATION' EVER. We noticed they offered shawarma and were curious so decided to try it out. I can't begin to describe the generosity of the management here. They chat with all their customers and were making chai (for themselves) when we arrived and gave us some, they had us try some samples of special deserts, then the manager literally gave me some of what his wife had prepared for him, for me to take home and try. Also, the on-menu stuff (shawarma) was great! I'll be stopping in to pick up a mango lassi to go after my future bike rides in Evergreen for sure.

Excellent and DELICIOUS chicken pita shawarma! The meat was seasoned very well, and all of the ingredients tasted fresh. Jason and his team are doing a great job and providing stellar service.

I stopped in there for my favorite expensive. 4 inch burrito and found out that It is now $7.75 Up $2.50-$3 and there is no more taco Tuesday, and the new owners are from India. Congratulations, Brian.

We've been regular customers of KGS for decades and were worried when Brian told us that it was up for sale. To our delight, the new owners have been very kind and eager to please. They've continued to offer Brian's Good Eats burritos, which have become a staple in our household over the years. Try the new boba drinks too. We love KGS!

Excellent community supporter, and advocate. Prices tend to be across the spectrum, with many items at or less than traditional grocery stores. High end items can indeed be high however. Staff is very helpful, friendly, and the peeps up front are very kind & knowledgeable! Excellent selection of natural and organic items as well!

I’ve gone in several times since the new owners, (I live in Kittredge and have been going here for eight years) and unfortunately I’ll be going into Evergreen from now on. Loved this store under the old owner, but understand his need to move on. Everything is overpriced, staff no longer talks to ANYONE going inside and the place smells like a smoke shop with smoking paraphernalia everywhere. I also noticed one guy laying on a beanbag on the floor behind the counter. I asked him a question and he just stared at me.This is a small town where almost everybody knows everybody. You might want to start talking to your clientele and at least try to bring back the family friendly feel to the place.

Super cute mountain store. They have everything you need from gas to grocery items, to coffee and deodorant 😉 they also have a small kitchen area where they offer tacos, quesadillas, and burritos. Being from south Texas our standards are super high when it comes to tacos but they were so pleasant, they get a 5 for effort 👌🏼
