My wife and I, along with another couple ate here while staying nearby on vacation. The burgers are very good. We also tried the chili and tomato bisque and both were good, with homemade was met with mixed reviews with some really enjoying it, but others not so much. The people there were friendly and we all were glad we stopped by.

This is a great local hangout. We were there on open mic night and it was very entertaining. It's mostly locals, but they're friendly and the place just has a fun vibe. The food is good too!

Stopped in to grab a cold drink and a bite while traveling thru this high country. Buffalo chicken wings and especially the green chili bacon cheeseburger were excellent. Try em with sweet potato fries. The young ladies on staff here are lovely no matter what elevation you're from. Enjoy!

The Green Chili Cheeseburger was awesome!! Service was friendly and fast. Great local color- lots of wall decor to checkout, pool table, jukebox and a toasty wood stove. You don’t see many bars like this anymore- it’s a shame!! I cannot wait to get back over that way from Eagle, CO.

Their burgers are SO tasty. I have never had bad food there and the service is friendly and warm. This place is typically safe for families and we often see kids in their eating with parents and grandparents, as well as couples on dates and friends hanging out having a good time. You can play pool, play the juke box or watch TV... or just hang with others like we do. We go here often again and again.

We were travelling through Florissant and happened upon the Thunderbird Inn. What a refreshing and pleasant surprise. Bethany was most welcoming and treated us like we were regulars. The Buffalo burgers were terrific and the sweet potato fries and waffle fries (on special) were great. Would go there anytime you are near Florissant. The juke box was rocking and the beers were cold. Terrific place.

It was a bar, not much beer selection. Fries were great. Bartender forgot to put in our food order. No one was wearing masks

GREAT venue, good vibe for a true "dive bar", but the food has gone downhill a little bit. We had burgers - one beef and one buffalo, asked for "medium" but they were both well done and dry. Go for the history and the scene, and hopefully the food quality will come back around to what it once was.

Tried this place for lunch the other day and was surprised at how good the food was! I had a very good burger and fries. I'm giving 4 stars because there are no beers on tap, which is not a big deal, but would be icing on the cake!

Not a martini bar. Just a fabulous watering hole where everyone is welcome . And a home away from home for a few great fixtures who add character to the ambiance and will probably be there to greet you when you arrive. Our Fearless leader , Russ , aka "Big Daddy" (to me) is far beyond your average proprietor . If you are so lucky to Be present on a night That he Happens to spin some Of his rare and precious vinyl. You will then leave knowing Trueluck has shined upon you. It will be a night you will remember lifelong plus you'll probably hear some music you've never heard in your whole life And will now be on a relentless mission to Find your own copy! He has great taste in music and food that is Shared with all who come through the door. Just as you could tell how good a Mexican restaurant is by its beans and rice you can tell the quality of the watering hole is by the Choices on the jukebox. And I'm here to tell you We have the best jukebox this side of the Pecos! Don't ever hesitate to come in when we have live music , for any band You will find here is going to be awesome. We strive for consistent perfection here at the Thunderbird. Hee.. Tip: The bluegrass festival every year is something that you should not miss. Every year I swear my jaw is on the ground in awe of the talent that shows up for our annual "Bluegrass at the Bird" Enjoy a pig roast, then take of your shoes and dance in the Lovely beach sand , play some horse-shoes , marvel at the fixtures - it's the weekend you don't want to miss! Mark your calendars the weekend around July 17 and 18th every year (look it up for exact days) . Tip2: The night to be out and about in good old flo-town is Thursdays. We have open mic and it's a blast ! Bring your instrument , your Pots and pans, Or just your game , pic, or your sticks and borrow one of ours. whatever it is you play, Even if it's just pocket pool- hey man, Just be yourself! we are all a fine mix of mountain people up here , we will understand! Hee. Ok Boys and girls; you have been officially invited by a good old SJ , Now you have no excuse, So Honor those manners that You learned about in kindergarten and from your momma and come on up. And Hey, Don't forget to bring your momma , she'll enjoy it to! Peace Blessings From up the hill and all of us at the Thunderbird we will be looking for ya!

Local color, passing bikers, and live blues music: what's not to like about this bar in the middle of a wide spot of the road through Florissant? Well, if you're addicted to MSNBC and looking for a premium glass of wine and Charcuterie board, you'd probably better keep driving. This is a beer and whisky joint serving up bar staples: some guy asked for almonds and was politely turned away. The friendly bartender Isabella pours a generous shot, and insures your beer never runs dry. The wings I had were perfectly well done

Excellent philly cheesesteaks and green chili cheeseburgers. Fries are amazing. Friendly service. Fun place to hang with the locals.
