In the past, I have been pleased with the staff. Today was completely different. The salesman never acknowledged our presence....even after I was clearly holding an item to purchase. As we walked out, we said "have a nice day", and NO RESPONSE AT ALL!

Great running store! They have a wonderful selection of shoes which you can try on a treadmill. I recently bought a Nathan hydration vest and they did a great job explaining how to use it. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff and definitely local, so they know info on races and everything

I'd never been to a running store in FoCo before but seemed like people only spoke highly of this place so I wanted to give it a try. I'm not an experienced runner by any means so I came in with a lot of questions but left feeling more than satisfied and confident with the purchase I made. Shoutout to Cade for all his help getting me set up with a brand new set of HOKA's that I am pumped to start using. He was friendly, knowledgable and above all a genuinely good person (not motivated by making a sale). He shared his own personal experiences with different brands and based off of what I'm training for, provided advice and a handful of options for me to try out. This place lived up to and exceeded my expectations so I'm very glad I stopped in last night! Thanks again to Cade for all of his help and wishing him the best as he trains for his first ultra marathon this Summer! Can't recommend this place enough if you're in Fort Collins.

I cannot say enough great things about this local running store. I'm completely new to running (literally started in sandals for the heck of it), and Mike (I think that was his name!) went above and beyond any customer service experience I've ever had to get me a great pair of running shoes.To start, he had me run on a treadmill in store, and took a video of my stride to identify what kind of shoes I might need. (Neutral, supportive, corrective, etc). Then, after discussing this with me and explaining what he saw, he measured my feet and brought out literally 10+ types of shoes for me to try on. As I tried them, he thoroughly explained the relative benefits of each brand and type of shoe, showing no bias or push. You could really tell he knew what he was talking about, and wanted to find me the right type of shoe without pushing towards a more expensive pair or anything like that.After I had tried on 10+ pairs and discussed what I liked and didn't like about each pair, Mike found me the absolute perfect pair. They weren't exactly cheap ($160), but they were actually cheaper from Altitude than anywhere I can find online or elsewhere! tbh I would have paid $100+ just for the consultation, not to mention the shoes.I will never go anywhere else for future running shoe purchases. These folks are just gems.

Altitude Running is absolutely the place to go for shoes! I felt supported every step of the way and believe Altitude Running will be my sole shoe store from now on (puns intended). Special thanks to Scott, who is such a gem; he spent a lot of time with me--teaching me about various shoes and their correlated purposes, helping me understand my feet and gate, and providing space and time for me to make the right shoe choice without brushing off my concerns or pushing a sale. My feet and I are very happy and excited to finally run without pain for the first time in a long time. * <-- that's another star. 6/5 stars.

This running store is fabulous - it’s a gem. Sophie was incredibly knowledgeable about the brands and had an astonishing level of detailed understanding about how each shoe was made and how it related to a runners goals. She took a lot of time to help us chose the right shoe- clearly the people here are passionate about running and the outdoors -They have a treadmill and an iPad app to further help determine any issues, they take the interest to ask a lot of questions about ones individual running needs to get it all right! Highest Recommendation.
