Do not use this as a place to store funds. If they decide your account is not active enough, they will steal your funds as "service" fees and drive your balance to zero. I regret using Blue Federal Credit Union and recommend using an alternative credit union for your banking needs.

Only do business with this bank if you live in the same town and your banking needs are minimal. It was a toss up between them and Elevations when I moved to Colorado and I am regretting my decision. I relocated and shared banking has been an absolute nightmare. They aren’t able to do any sort of money transfer from credit union to bank which is also incredible inconvenient. Hold times EVERYTIME I call are over 30mins. If I need a supervisor over an hour. There website is beyond basic 2000. It’s very limited. I’m not able to tell when held funds will be distributed, ever. My account was frozen because it had been flagged while using Cash App to pay a re-accruing monthly payment. I had two separate ATM cards that expired. It was my responsibility to drive to a branch and get new ones printed but there machine was down so I just went without until it was fixed. All of these issues have been courtesies or no brainers at any other institute I’ve banked with. Not recommended, perhaps give them a few years to get it together but whenever I spoke with someone about my concerns they didn’t seem that interested. Survey emails are never answered but sent out after every interaction.

Absolutely ridiculous that you direct people to an 800 number instead of allowing people to call directly to the branch they want to talk to. This is the same nonsense that caused me to leave Wells Fargo. I was under the impression that a Credit Union would do a better job than them.

I received a loan through Blue FCU through a dealership when buying an ATV. I had no choice in the lender and at the time didn't really care who the lender was. I was not informed that I needed to purchase insurance for the 4 wheeler starting the day of purchase. I was informed over a month later by email that I needed to provide proof of insurance for the 4 wheeler, which I promptly did and uploaded it into the clumsy website they provided. A month later I notice a charge added to my account for $168 that was used to "purchase insurance" for me for the month I did not have insurance on the 4 wheeler. This insurance was purchased two months after the fact by Blue FCU and charged as if it was providing insurance from the date of purchase. The "insurance company" CPI is directly linked to Blue FCU and this in my opinion is a total scam by Blue FCU to not inform people that they need insurance and then charging them an obscene amount to purchase insurance on your behalf to a company they're linked to. The insurance I purchased from my insurance provider costs less per year than what they charged me for one month of this enforced insurance. I will be transferring this loan and NEVER doing business with Blue FCU again.
