I really wish I could rate this beautiful place higher, but alas, they only allow me five stars. Kelsey, the owner of Fernweh, is an incredibly lovely human. All of her staff are incredible as well. I felt incredibly safe there. I so wish that I had another excuse to patronize the place again, but I do not, as I now live in Fort Collins. It is also located in a beautiful part of Fort Collins. And not far at all from lovely Old Town. I absolutely cannot recommend this place highly enough. Interactions with the guests was also top-notch. And Kelsey tells the guests about local events happening, such as the fun Tour De Fat that happens yearly here. She even has bikes that the guests can use to ride around town.

Stayed two nights at the Fernweh Inn and Hostel while visiting our Son who was acting in a play at UNC. We are approaching retirement, and both of us used to use hostels in Europe, but the Ferweh is much more "luxurious" than the ones we stayed in. We had a private room/bath which was very cozy; a nice place to relax and read. No tv in the room, which I considered a big plus! However, high speed internet, so if that's what you want, you can use your laptop/device to watch anything (there is a large screen TV downstairs though, with a wide selection of DVDs, and Netflix, if you want to waste your time on that!). The house is an old Victorian, restored to perfection and delightfully furnished; you can tell that the management takes pride in making it a comfortable stay. Clean as a whistle and friendly atmosphere. Even though it's downtown, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. Numerous restaurants within a few blocks. Looking forward to a return visit next year!

Wonderful place to stay in Fort Collins. Location is excellent and very convenient to both CSU and Old Town. The place is an old mansion with rooms on 2nd and 3rd floor with common areas on the 1st floor. Kitchen is fully stocked with both utensils and ingredients and there are many places to sit down and eat. Kelsey and the staff are awesome - very helpful and welcoming. We'll be staying again.

If you're looking for a place to make you feel right at home during your visit to Fort Collins, you've found it! The guest house is beautiful, the rooms are cozy, and the location is unbeatable. Kelsey and her staff have made Fernweh Inn such a friendly, welcoming place that you won't want to miss.

Such a cute fun place! Also a great location, convenient to old town. Very cozy, friendly, comfy. Its in an older home, but well kept. So much nicer than a traditional hotel. :)

I've stayed here now twice in the last year while visiting my daughter at CSU. I really enjoyed it and will be back. It was very nice to have the space to eat, do homework, and play games. The house is really yours to relax in. Also, it is right by campus so I easily walked back and forth to my daughter's dorm.

we just returned from 3 nights at the Hostel. It is such a great place. My mom and I stayed at the Tree house room while we dropped of my son at CSU. We love the communal kitchen and totally love the living room for yoga stretches and dining room to catch up on some netflix. The outside garden/patio is also a great place to hang out either in the hammocks or just on the couch. We love using the community bikes to take around town. The Poudre river bike trail goes everywhere and has the coolest covered bridges. You don't have to ride much on the road to get their and Loomis has a large bike path on the road. Ft Collins is the best and we'd always stay at the Fernweh. It's so homey and so close to campus.

I've lived in many hostels in Europe and it was my first hostel experience in the States! With the low prices, I didn't expect I got a better experience than hotels! I love their lovely house, living room, and my getaway room. And great location--right in the downtown but quiet. It feels like home. I would highly recommend for anyone who's visiting Fort Collins!

Approximately once a year I travel to Fort Collins. I always try to stay at the Furnweh. Kelsey and her staff do an amazing job, and as a guest I always feel welcome and at home. The house is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. Information is available on where to go and what to do in and around town. I have always booked directly through the Furnweh website - it is user friendly and I like being able to connect with someone to ask questions and make adjustments as necessary. It is within walking distance to Old town Fort Collins, restaurants and entertainment. I will return here again and highly recommend it to others. Bonnie

This hostel was fun and funky, gorgeous woodwork, and really exceptionally clean! All ages would enjoy staying here- great spaces to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee and/or visit with others both inside and outside. Having access to a full kitchen was really key, too! We look forward to our next visit!

I love this place. It feels like home. It's my second time staying here, because I enjoyed it so much last time. A well stocked kitchen, comfy redecorated room, friendly dog, and wonderful staff. They received and held some rather large boxes for us before we arrived, and had them already stacked in our private room when we got in late at night. It is my go to place when visiting Fort Collins.
