This is a NICE gym, with all the amenities one could want. The staff working there don't know what one another is doing at any given time, however. There doesn't seem to be a schedule for the people working there that all have access to. When you walk in the front door there's a lot of flapping about and people wandering around, not knowing who or where the person is you're meeting with. And if you need to reschedule with a person, good luck getting that done through the front desk - they say they've rescheduled it, but the person you're supposed to be meeting with has no idea it's been rescheduled and you arrive to NO person. For as much as you pay per month, it's tough that the office staff isn't on the ball and doesn't know what is going on.

I am very displeased with Genesis. I went there because of my limited income, and was told it was month to month! Not so! I never had a chance to even use their facility once and been charged automatically out of my account! Then, I was told twice mins you, on the phone when I called to cancel, that I had to go in before the first of the month, so I did on December 28th, signed a paper, and then I was still taken for $89!!!!!? I should’ve stuck with Crunch!!!! Just letting you all know!

Employees are very nice but manager has no clue what they are doing. Charging $25 for a day pass is ridiculous. Ceilings are constantly leaking and they can’t seem to figure out how to keep their pool and hot tub heated and clean. Constantly hearing other members complain about various things. Seems to go in one ear and out the other. Don’t recommend.

The absolute worst customer service in the fitness industry. Beware, you are charged a full month membership fee, when you want to cancel. You will also be hung up on by membership if you don't want to put your membership on hold for another fee. I would encourage you to take the time to check out the many other clubs that offer clean gyms, professional and friendly staff and equal to the level of fitness classes and equipment. The employee turnover is tremendous, and that is a HUGE RED FLAG

I visited your establishment today with my friend who is a member to her surprise the fee for visitors had increased significantly. The staff at the desk were patient and understanding with her. After explaining that the policy and pricing had changed sometime ago, they were gracious enough to give me the opportunity to workout today. The equipment was user friendly, each common area was kept clean, and staff was near by if assistance was needed. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a place to workout.

The difference between this place and other similar gyms: A liquor (I don't even know her) bar, a 20x10 hot tub (that's nice for loosening the pecs after taking the 130s for a ride on the incline), 4 lane pool for lap swimming (that I don't use), and the outdoor sand volleyball pit (should be used for fighting). So it's a spendy-ish membership compared to other gyms...but other gyms don't have a liquor bar. Talk to Val for the details she's the sweetest.

I’ve been to all of the gyms in Fort Collins. Genesis was the first gym I started a membership with when I moved here three years ago. After one year I decided to go to the other local gyms just to try them out and I soon realized how much Genesis has to offer compared to everything else that’s around. So I decided to restart my membership and am not going anywhere! This gym is absolutely the best gym in Northern Colorado.

I hate to be one writing a negative review on a place that initially really excited me. However, at the end of the day, the expectations that the Genesis team met when signing up were not met.I wanted to do my “free workout” to feel out of the gym. After recommendations from friends and encouragements about their pricing, it came to my surprise that my “advisor” of sorts sat me down to have a 30+ minute conversation (that felt like a lecture) about joining. I asked about a matched rate that my friends had bragged about. He seemed threatened that I would dare to bring up a lower rate and made me feel like I was out to scam the gym (as he told me was down many times before). Timid and pressured, I signed the contract.I was most excited about the pool for lap swimming. No one told me it would be ridiculously challenging to reserve a lane at a reasonable time. You had to call 48 hours in advance but every time I asked the staff was never able to say the exact time sign ups opened. So it was usually either 6am or 8pm swim times available. Also, their online portal to sign up never worked so it was extremely inconvenient. Also, the classes. I showed up for my first yoga class, went to the room it was labeled on the schedule, and sat there. No one showed up and the class location was mislabeled. I checked with the front desk, and again, clueless. I never tried to go to a class again.Lastly and the most frustratingly, I called to inquire about cancelling my membership while flying home for a family emergency. Someone told me I had to do it in person but would honor the date I called. I wasn’t able to make it back in person until weeks later and by that time, don’t even think about it.. they sat me down again and made me feel dumb for asking. I was shocked that they told me I had to pay not one but TWO more months based on the date I came in. That is almost $200 I did NOT have.Frankly, I want a refund for those months to honor what I was told over the phone but am too intimated by the staff to even think about asking based on my prior experience. If you’re looking to save money and have a convenient time, this is not the place for you, sadly.

Immoral, predatory, but legal contracts. If you want to cancel your membership, you can’t do it online, can’t call, you have to come in, wait 20 minutes, and sit down with someone. Sales manager had the audacity to tell me “hope you learned a lesson”. A member of 3.5 years and they wouldn’t work with me at all. Lost my job and couldn’t pay a couple months. I didn’t even use the gym during the time I couldn’t pay. Please tell me what added costs Genesis incurs when I’m not using the gym? I asked Danielle for a copy of my contract and she never sent it. I had to come in.

Amazing gym. I’m from out of town so needed a place to workout. My local buddy showed me this place and wow. It had everything I needed. I got the absolute sickest pump in there idk what it was. Ken at the front desk was the absolute man. If I’m ever back here you can bet your sweet bottom I’m coming back.

They have a very clean gym and a ton of great equipment that I enjoy using and have never seen elsewhere.

Been a member for many years but this is first time I’m working with a trainer. Connected with Haley R. She’s helping me learn about weight room equipment and overcome my concerns about lifting heavier weights. I had a couple scheduling issues and she worked around those for me. I’m learning a lot from her! Very efficient with our time which is a huge plus for me. Gym itself had a nice update a few years back. They could still update some cardio machines. Happy to be back at this gym!

What a poorly managed gym. I'll start with one positive that the facilities are managed pretty well and it is usually clean especially the restrooms. The group fitness room is very dated and does not have updated equipment or stereos etc but overall that would not have made me quit this gym. What is absolutely obvious at every turn is the complete lack of customer service from employees. Here is a list of just SOME of the things I've experienced at all 3 Genesis Fort Collins locations: childcare staff over an hour late to open kids club no apology, waiting for front desk staff to appear for over 20 minutes, group fitness instructors late or do not show at all, questions to staff going ignored or rudely dismissed, discussions with managers extremely dismissive, personal training staff no shows, high employee turnover with personal training and the list goes on. You'd definitely expect more from one of the "nicer" gyms in Fort Collins. If anyone wants to open a truly NICE gym with excellent customer service you should-I promise you it would be busy.

It’s my favorite gym in fort collins! I have been to all of the gyms here and even though there are cheaper options the variety that this gym has is what keeps me here. I have had a membership since I was 7 (i’m not kidding lol) It is on the more expensive side but they have three separate gyms that you can go to South, Central and North. and it’s Jim has its own unique thing that it has.The south gym has tennis courts, a indoor and outdoor pool, typically older adults and high school kids workout there.Fort Collins club/Central typically has college kids, high school, kids, adults and older adults. It has a basketball court and an indoor and outdoor pool.Northside/north/North Genesis has a climbing gym and a CrossFit gym. They do not have a pool over there but they do have regular workout equipment. There tends to be a lot of highschoolers and college students that do climbing over there but the people that work out there tend to be adults.

The Fort Collins Club is always great to visit when in town. The equipment is well kept and clean. The front desk staff is also easy to work with.
