IF YOU HAVE A SUBARU, COME HERE!!!!
I have been building my 2020 STI with these guys, they are the best, hands down.
I cannot reiterate enough how much I love working with these guys. Eric and Ryan have been the primary mechanics, Ryan my primary source of contact.
They've got the best scheduling, great prices, and great turnaround time. I've had an oilchange completed in 20 minutes.
They know their stuff, they're timely, and they're fair. Not much else to ask from a mechanic.
I came from PRE Racing in Portland, OR. Funny enough, FunkEBuilt regularly competes with them.
THESE GUYS FIX CARS TO RACE THEIR OWN
The longer you're in, the less time they have to work on their Drag-Racing car. They want you in and out, with no complaints. I've been a customer for 3+ years with tens of thousands of dollars in performance modifications to my car. I'm not going anywhere else, there's no reason to go anywhere else. I have driven from my home in Milken for a year plus just to have the peace of mind that the guys working on my car actually care.

This place is SCAMMY! Went in for a coolant leak. Within 5 minutes Tech came in and said all I needed was a new radiator cap ($13 part). They charged me $212 to replace it - $30 just for coolant which I had filled the day before (hadn't driven anywhere but the shop)! Desk guy was rude and demeaning. Overall a very disappointing experience considering I was sent here by another shop. Go anywhere else and you'll be treated better.

I went to Funk E Built to have my brakes checked on my ‘23 WRX due my brake pedal feeling “spongy”. Found out that my front OEM brake lines that were reinstalled in July ‘24 at Wrights Automotive were damaged and leaking. Prior to that I had front stainless steel brake lines installed at FoCo Complete Auto Repair in April ‘24. After finding out that there’s a back order on the OEM front driver side brake line til mid November and short supply of the opposite side brake line the crew at Funk E Built repaired my damaged brake lines. I’m still searching to replace those repaired brake lines as I know this is a temporary solution. I’m thankful for the resourcefulness and expertise of the mechanics over at Funk E Built. They know how to repair and modify WRXs. I highly recommend Funk E Built for repairs and modifications on your WRX (not so much for the two repair shops I mentioned earlier in FoCo).

They've built and serviced/upgraded my car for the last 3 years and I couldn't be happier. I wanted a fast, modified daily and they absolutely delivered. They go above and beyond with their quality work and communication. I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone who needs an upgrade/service or wants a build done on their car.

Great job installing a short shifter kit on my new 2024 WRX. The shop was transparent and even though they had some extra time on the install stayed true to the initial estimate. Would recommend to anybody looking to upgrade their car!

I brought my 2017 WRX in after putting some parts on to have them tune it, Made sure to follow Ryan’s advice and I’m glad I did. Car came out awesome. It drives so much better. I couldn’t help but laugh the entire way home.

I have been taking my Subaru to Funk E for about a year now due to the sheer amount of other wrx/sti drivers who recommended them to me. They have been extremely helpful with teaching me more about my car as I try to learn about cars. Their reliability is through the roof the best and I trust them more than any other performance shop I’ve been to. Their knowledge on cars, especially engines, is exceptional and a wonderful example of that would be their work on the Subaru called The Rainmaker. Ryan, who has had to be bombarded by 100’s of questions by me has always taken the time to explain more and more about my car and tell me what I should do to accomplish my car goals. When he first found out I wanted to learn more about my car, he had me come look at my car under the lift and explained what might be worth replacing and why. And if none of that is a good enough reason as to why you should do work with funk e built, listen to this: they have the cutest dog. I’ve never had a bad day talking to the guys at this shop and all of my work done by them has been amazing. Lastly, whenever someone asks where I get my work done, I proudly tell them that I get everything done by funk e.
