First off this bank is useless my acct when checked says it fine iand open I checked the letters mailed thru online banking app and never said yn acct was closed well my tax return hit and was bounced back your bank is all but useless how are you even still running how are you not going to call someone send letters any of that and still show my acct open online when I call you tell ite open but it's not open wtf does that even mean

I love Independent Bank but this location is designed rather poorly, specifically at their drive up atm and teller windows. It’s almost impossible to pull up the the atm and actually be able to reach out and touch the machine to complete the transaction. It seems to be out of order or blocked off quite frequently, too. It’s also kind of secluded and poorly lit after dark, which makes it a good target for opportunists. If I can make it to one of the locations, I will as an alternative to this branch.

They charge you a $35 fee to return the the payment and not cover it since they have no overdraft and then charge you another paid item fee after you deposit money and the transfer gos through. So they charge you two fees of $35 for the same transaction! This is insanely and greed at it's worst. I am in the process of switching my business and personal banking to First National.

I have been a member of this "bank" for over 22 years. It has changed names and owners about 5 times since I opened my account. All branches prior to Independent have been great. But Independent Financial is by far the worst of all of them. As soon as my loan is paid off I am closing all 3 of my accounts and moving on......

I highly recommend not using this bank. I was scammed out of a good amount of money. It was a mistake I made and I already felt bad enough about it. When I reached out for help with my account, they not only made me feel like it was all my fault, they also just made it harder to resolve the issue I was dealing with. Also, everything is really slow. Mobile deposits sometimes took up to four days to actually go through, which is extremely annoying. Save yourself the stress and frustration of a pretty bad banking experience, go somewhere else.

Depends on who I get, the service varies greatly! I get amazing service from half the teller, and the other half I have sat at the drive thru or stood inside for 10-15min....for 2-3 deposits!! That is insane! The person(s) put all change and all away between each transaction rather than doing all that AFTER they release me as the others do. Insane! Can retaining happen??

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I have had the worst experience since the bank has changed over from Home State Bank to Guaranty Bank to Independent Bank. There have been so many changes that we were not informed of. We have been long time patrons (13 years) and I have never been treated so poorly. We were never given cards for our "new" bank account after the change over. I have requested twice now cards to be rushed to us, since we cannot pay our bills without our debit cards, to no avail. I am never greeted politely. Customer service is a ZERO. I will not mention her name but I have had negative experiences with our account manager, she is always very rude and very rushed. You are dealing with consumers money and livelihood. You should take more time out of your day to actually care about the financial state and concerns of your patrons!

Worse customer service ever I'm in Turkey and cant use my card I told the bank in plenty of notice and they just didnt get around to it approving international purchases this has happened on several occasions I will be looking for a better bank that is willing to take the time to do things right and follow through

I been banking with thease people for quite some time, they all know me and have been really nice. Although I have had a few dings with them as they where happy to help me out, although a check issue came up 75.00 for business checks? Omg they gave me the money back but the lady in the office was rude!! That is not how you treat your customers at all, alway if I was the owner of home state bank I would have fired her for yelling at customers.I had asked her several times to stop and she continued so hang up asked my husband to call he did so and she had yelled at him too. This is not good customer service I own a business and this is not something u do, I did not expect free checks but I did expect a phone call to tell me how much the checks where. This morning i called to see if I could get help and thanks for your roodness ill be switching banks and i will make sure to tell people about you.....😒
