Update: So sad and disappointed to edit my review to one star, but it’s happening. I was overcharged on a recent purchase, without my knowledge nor permission, my total costs were rounded up to contribute to “Guitarcenter Foundation”, an organization I know nothing about. Again nothing was proposed to me, it was just added to my total and put on my credit card. Additionally, I was sold subpar equipment and when I attempted to exchange it, I was told that the problem was either user error, or the fault of the equipment that I purchased there in store, which would then suggest a logical allowance for return or exchange. Neither were honored and the representative who I spoke to was very indifferent and essentially gave me 2 options: either an even more expensive in-store upgrade/purchase or a redirect to Amazon. This was surprising and deeply disappointing, considering what I’ve invested at this particular location and the trust I put in those who represent the GC brand. My older review no longer represents my experience here. Unfortunately, I would advise looking elsewhere. *Older review: Guitar Center rocks. Travis in audio/sound went out of his way to help me with a very detailed matter, taking great care to go through the explanation step by step and even help me compare some potential products which could be right for my professional purposes. This type of attention, time and consideration is rare these days and I truly appreciate his willingness to help. Jeremy was also a star, responding to an inquiry I initially made via email. He addressed my issue concisely, professionally and with enough awareness of the subject matter that I wanted to come into the store to learn more and inquire about equipment. The atmosphere inside is funky, colorful, vibrant and "alive" enough to bring out anyone's inner musician or avid listener.A gorgeous, shiny, aqua green-colored, electric guitar is on display near the front entrance (*looked to be in perfect condition)...and upon seeing it, I realized I secretly wished I was on tour and living in a world of music at that very moment. My experience at G.C. ultimately hit a grand slam: after the professional assistance was rendered, I ultimately remembered that seeing my favorite artists live in concert (when the health crisis has passed) is a number one priority in order to stay aligned with my "music therapy".Everyone, let's support our local artists in safe/'socially distanced' outdoor spaces or venues (they do exist!). I plan to check out any advertised bands or groups who might be out playing right now; their "art and soul" helps us remember what's important; that we're all in this together, and life is truly a rhythmic tune, complete with up's and down's.We can still enjoy the ride...let's go!

Dallas and Jared (my apologies if I spelt your name wrong) were great. I came in with questions, needed a price match, etc and they were willing to help. I will come back again because of a manager/employee like them. Thanks again for having great customer service!

I've had some mixed experiences with this store specifically in the past, but Al really hooked me up this time. I had purchased a guitar online as a gift for someone else, and found out the day before I was going to pick it up that the gift recipient was going into the store to purchase that exact guitar himself. I called the center and talked to Al and he was able to make the surprise happen in the store when my friend went to try the guitar out. It was a complex situation and it was handled expertly. Thank you guys so much. I'll be back to pick up another guitar the next time I'm in the market.

I want to like this place as it's about the only place in town to shop for guitar stuff, but man they have terrible customer service.I came ready to buy an amp and guitar that was listed as in stock. The guy confirmed they had everything, but the amp was in the back warehouse. I said no worries, I can wait. After about 30 minutes the guy comes back with nothing and just ignores me. Never gets the guitar down or acknowledges anything about the amp. I ask again and he just goes to help another customer. I was ready spend well over $1500 but they couldn't be bothered. Looks like I'll just order from Sweetwater.

I've never really enjoyed the Guitar Center "experience". However, this particular location does a really great job. I've had two guitars worked on here and their staff and techs are all very friendly and communicate extremely well. Even though it is a rather large corporate music chain you can feel safe getting good work done here. Thanks all!

I just placed an online order for a cable that wasn’t actually in stock, but they were really helpful and refunded the online order as well as fix the situation. Good customer service.I was pretty confused because it was my first time ordering online for in-store pickup, but now I understand how the process works. Special thanks to Joey I think (long hair and bracelets), who helped me out.

I purchased a $4,000 guitar, $100 strap, $12 strap holder about a year ago. I had some maintenance done on the guitar yesterday and asked to get a credit for the $12 strap holder never used and still in original pkg. I was told 45 day return policy, which is fine. However, the customer service was unwilling to credit or refund me the $12. Not being able or willing to make a small decision just cost them a customer. I left the item on the counter.

Please tell Alan/Allen (not sure how you spell his name) that he's awesome. Came here to get a beginner electric guitar kit and I didn't know what I wanted. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and down to earth and helped me pick something out that I feel very confident about. Thanks dude!

The manager and staff are a bunch of incompetent idiots. Also, they just don't care. The customer service is abysmal. It would be laughable if not for the money Guitar Center Fort Collins continues to draft out my checking account for lessons that I canceled months ago. It's funny that I received an email confirming that my son's recurring lessons were canceled months ago, BUT they continue to take money out of my account for these cancelled lessons. Is that theft? The actual instructor, Dakota is awesome. Unfortunately, he is associated with a JOKE of a Guitar Center. Be very careful when scheduling lessons with these dolts. I wish the drafting out of my bank account for services NEVER rendered was the only issue, but it wasn't. Every week I had to call to make sure my son was even scheduled for these supposed recurring lessons and without fail, every week he was NOT on the schedule, so they'd be scrambling to reach the instructor to make sure that he would be there. Oh, and try getting a straight answer about the weekly mess. Trust me, they will use "Catalina" as the scapegoat. "It's Catalina's fault! She did it!" Give me a break!***”Owner” do you know many times I was assured that this would be followed up on? About 4000 times. Nobody has ever followed up or refunded my money. Don’t present yourself as someone who cares!

Drove 30 mins to this location to buy some genuine fender pick guard screws. Website said they were in stock. When I showed up they had all the parts in a brown box instead of hanging on shelf. Employee didn't put much effort into looking through the box to find what I needed. Then just said he would give me a screw. He asked if I wanted fender or squire. Told him fender but he gave me a squire. Didn't realize I was given wrong screw until it was installed. Decided to take my business for a setup elsewhere after this experience. Avoid this location if possible,

Stopped by with my husband & Granddaughter. Husband needed to check out an item for his band. Our Granddaughter had a ball trying all the instruments. I see an electric drum kit in her near future! Thanks for a memorable stop in our day?❣

This is one of only 2 times in my life I have straight up walked out of a store without the intent to buying anything at all anymore due to the service, or lack thereof. I walked in the front door with my 5 yo and someone said, (we'll be with you in a minute) and I thought cool, all I need are drumsticks and mallets. 20 mins later..... literally nothing. And my 5 year old was playing on a drum set in there. So it's not like he was quiet. I walked out and there were like, 3 or 4 people standing there in a circle talking.
