We did not have a great experience with Oztek recently. Previously, when my wife was in business and used Oztek to maintain her equipment, they seemed better (~7 years ago). We contracted with Oztek late in 2023 to troubleshoot and repair a Coldlyte LB-500 commercial ice cream batch freezer. The tech (who claimed to be the senior tech at Oztek) arrived as scheduled to troubleshoot the machine. He forgot his nitrogen bottle was almost empty so he pressurized the compressor system with what nitrogen he had. I suggested he go get a “new” bottle but he declined; their shop is only 2 miles from our home. He did find the high pressure switch leaking. He said he would order a new switch, and left. He returned once the part was received and replaced the switch. He forgot to bring oil for the compressor which I had requested. He evacuated the system but had a vacuum gauge that was not working properly. He and his helper kept banging on the gauge trying to get a reading. They charged the system with 80 oz of refrigerant. We ran the unit and it quickly got very cold. He left; I told my wife I was hoping for the best but had little confidence in “his” work. We made ice cream and the unit worked well. However, when we tried making ice cream again a few months later, the unit would not open the water inlet valve, or cool. Most of the refrigerant had leaked out. When I got a hold of Julian, I asked him if he would fix the machine and make things right with us. We had already spent ~$1100.00 to get this freezer working and ready to sell. He said “he would “. After months of waiting, Julian came and leak tested the system with adequate nitrogen pressure and we found a leaking fitting. He said he would get a new fitting and get back to us. Later he scheduled a tech to come; I did not want to be blindsided with a bill, so I asked for a quote. We ended up agreeing on $400.00 to replace the fitting and recharge the unit. My wife and I strongly felt that he should have stood behind the initial poor work , but since we wanted to get the freezer working so we could sell it, we agreed. It was a number of months before we were able to get the troubleshooting and repairs completed. We definitely didn’t feel like valued customers. I have told Julian, and still maintain, that had the tech done the initial troubleshooting properly the unit could have been fixed properly the first time. We felt we should not have had to pay extra because of the initial shoddy work. I will say the tech that did the final repair was very competent and a pleasure to work with. We don’t have any more commercial refrigerated equipment so will probably not need this type service again.

Joel and Thomas came to my store today and did a fantastic job! We were having a new flavor added to our soda machine, and they went above and beyond! Not only did they figure out an easier, less time consuming way to get the job done, they also fixed a previous techs messup that we didn't even know about! (Something about soda lines being mixed up, or mislabeled, and not matching the soda machine schematic).
They quickly figured out what the issues were, got it done, and even cleaned up afterwards (something that doesn't happen too often).
Joel and Thomas kept me upto date with everything they were doing, were kind, respectful, and very easy to talk to.
I'll definitely be telling my boss to work with Oztek again if this is the kind of great service we can expect from them.

Oztek is very professional and has a great response time. We found all of their technicians very friendly and knowledgeable.TY was our most recent tech and he was fabulous and friendly! I am updating this to mention that the leadership team at Oztek cares about training their technicians and the customer service is the absolute best we have had in town.

Absolutely thrilled with the service from Oztek! After dealing with another company that couldn’t figure out the issue with our cold table and eventually gave up, we called Oztek—and wow, what a difference. They responded quickly, diagnosed the problem with ease, and had everything up and running in no time. Keith and Julian were not only incredibly skilled, but also kind, professional, and just genuinely awesome to work with. If we had called them first, we wouldn’t have been stuck with broken equipment for three weeks. Lesson learned—Oztek will be our first call from now on. Highly recommend!

1 year to the day of replacing the compressor on my walkin, a $7K job, it went out again. Those parts usually have a 3-5yr warranty on them. The receptionist said they only guarantee their work for 3 months. The owner said he would do 1 year but I was a day out and if I wanted him to come look at it he was going to charge me a service call. A few months earlier they had worked on my bar reach in, $1200, and replaced the whole control panel but the service tech didn't put the condensate line back into the evaporative pan and it leaked under my LVP flooring for 6 months. When the floor started to deteriorate there, we went to replace it and found water trapped between the LVP and the original hardwood. Oztec said they weren't going to do anything about the problem bc we were past the 3 month mark and that it wasn't their fault.

We had Brandon and Joel come out to service our walk in Freezer that was down, they installed a new compressor on our unit and did a fantastic job. The technicians were very transparent with everything they did and ensured quality was a priority. 10/10 would recommend Oztek Commercial for any refrigeration needs!

Abner is awesome! He is always professional, communicative, thorough and skilled at diagnosing and fixing our equipment. We appreciate that he takes the time to explain the problem and repairs to us, giving us options that will best suit our needs.
