This is was my 1st experience with banking at a credit union. I was really looking forward that "community bank" vibe, not typical of corporate bank (wells fargo/chase/boa). Unfortunately, I get more of a dry, corporate, indifferent vibe from Canvas than I did/do have from Chase or Wells Fargo.Simply look at the reviews. Virtually every branch has less than 3 stars, and those reviews are as recent as this last week, dating all the way back to 3+years ago.Its very confusing that as a "colorado local credit union" they have no sense of community. For whoever is "in charge", FYI, paying ridiculous amounts to have the name on the new CSU stadium (that was short lived) does not equal being connected to the community. There is absolutely ZERO benefit of banking here.I highly recommend avoiding Canvas Credit union. I could go on with specifis, but simply put. This place a lots of room for improvement, yet seems like they could not care much less.In today's world you cannot afford to conduct business in the maner that Canvas Credit Union does.Ill be shocked if they are still around in another 5 years.I honestly hope I am wrong, but have reservations.

Had a savings account there that sat idle for over a year. They closed it and absorbed the funds in the account through 'inactivity fees' without any notifications. Never going back.

Every time I visit this location, the service I receive is always lacking a proper level of business acumen and a member service oriented mindset. There are certainly other branches that have a higher level of professionalism and customer service mindset. This branch could learn a lot of the AMAZING branch on Lemay in Fort Collins where that staff sincerely cares about the Canvas members.

I love banking at canvas. I normally go to the branch on drake. But I did drop in to visit this branch to ask some questions and also pick up a debit card. I needed a new one and my normal branches machine was down. Staff was friendly and fast. They got my questions answered and also quickly got me a new card. Was happy with the standard service i am used to getting.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Waited 20 minutes of my 30 minute break in the drive thru just to have to ask for all my stuff back so I wouldn't be late to work! They sent it back to me SOOOOO FAST, if only they could've done their job as quick as it took them TO NOT DO IT!

Needed a new debit card, they told me no appointment necessary and it would take less than 5 minutes. I just sat in the lobby for 40 minutes, only for them to come out and tell me they can't make one at all. Don't waste your time at this branch. Go somewhere else.

This credit union sucks! Always some issues with the website or the ATM etc. The main offices are not open 24/7. Good luck trying to resolve a problem if it's not m-f 9-5. The whole system is down as in no online banking or ATM use or even branch operations that's why I'm giving this review. Always something at this craptastic credit union. Go somewhere else this place blows.

Very nice staff, but seem to be lacking experience. I went in to resolve issues I was having since my previous credit union merged with Canvas and my debit card was reclaimed but I never received a new one. This was extremely frustrating as I was planning on traveling and NEED access to my bank account. The staff at this branch assisted me in getting a new one and said everything was good to go, the process is "that easy". The gentleman assisting me using the computer seemed pretty unconfident in the process but other staff members were very reassuring and made me feel comfortable. It turns out the pin I set at the branch did NOT get set to my debit card so I now have a worthless piece of plastic and no way of accessing my money except through credit. The only way of resolving this is to "simply check in with your local branch and get it fixed". Unfortunately, it seems this merge will force me to find another bank since not being able to have control over my cards WITHOUT having to have immediate access to a branch is unacceptable. Again, the staff was extremely polite here, but Canvas really messed up their merge process and lack adequate control over your cards

Worst car loan place. I would never use them again. Ever time I call I get a different answer from a service person. They only give you one skip a year and have nothing in place if you are having trouble paying past this during COVID.

Attempted violation of our financial right to privacy. I do not recommend saving your money at Canvas Credit Union. To make a long story short, I had the displeasure of dealing a few times with the same teller Kim at Boardwalk Branch when trying to deposit some very small monthly checks and withdraw a bit of cash. She shows a rude attitude, does not actually care about timely and professional service. Furthermore, we noticed a pattern and practice trying to violate our financial right to privacy asking questions about the type of investments, and name of the financial institutions we are members of. We have been treated as if we were some sort of scammers. Of course, we tried to complain to the assistant branch leader Brooke Shurigar with no avail. We also filed a complaint the same day with Caleigh a higher up manager. Caleigh apologized for the situation, was not able to reply to some of our straight questions, but promised that a director from their team will contact us. So far, nobody from the Canvas Credit Union contacted us to follow up and address our concerns. In our opinion this Canvas Credit Union is NOT a customer focused financial institution.

Always nice people that work here, but if you need to use the drive through, plan for a 30 minute visit. The drive through and even inside services, take SO LONG every single time I go. Perhaps it’s just a staff shortage.

The very best credit union. Mason went above and beyond taking care of my most stressful day. I needed to transfer funds from a personal account to my Canvas Credit Union business account I needed to make a transfer within a time frame. Mason kept me calm and handled the whole situation like professional. I will always be grateful to him. I will always be loyal to Canvas Credit Union.Go into Canvas Credit Union on Boardwalk in Fort Collins and tell Mason he's awesome
