Completely incompetent staff. Extremely messy shop and property, should speak for itself. I had to take my truck there 5 times to get a power steering leak fixed. 5 times! and it still isn't fixed. They do not check their work, instead expect you to just keep coming back, wasting your time for their incompetence. I wasted over $160 in ubers just getting to and from their shop for 1 fix. Don't be fooled by the dirt cheap prices, they will screw you.
I have called you several times to make this right. Joseph, if you don't call me back I will be forced to take you to Small Claims court to get my money back from your incompetent work.

online it says they open at 9:30. but they really open between 10 and 11am.

My father in law has always liked R & L and used them for many years.
However, their last dealings with one another did not end well.
My dad sold him his car 'as is' so they could repair it and make some money.
(My dad had a minor accident and is no longer capable of driving.) This was all good for both. But my dad forgot to remove his plates from the car, and once repairs were complete, someone from R & L Automobile decided to drive the car on the toll road of 470 with dad's plates STILL on the car. My dad was charged and fined, but as far as the state could tell, the car and plates matched.
Ray admitted that this occurred and wrote me a check to cover the fees and fines. THE CHECK BOUNCED.
I have given them my email and phone number, not to mention left no less than 3 massages to rectify this.
They, to date, 2/14/24, have what's called
GHOSTED me for the last 25 days.
I personally don't think they know that under Colorado law, I can sue them for 10 time the amount of the check plus court cost. Maybe they will answer my last message or read this before they are served.

My family and I have been using R and L for about a decade now. Ray and his staff are nothing short of exceptional. Even though I live in Denver now, I still make the trip up to Fort Collins to get my truck in to Ray.

I came over here when my car was wobbling really badly. When I showed up it seemed like most of the crew was at lunch at the moment except for this one young guy named Jimmy. Jimmy was able to diagnose that my tire wasn't tighten all the way. Jimmy tighten it down and sure enough the wobbling went away. At the time I just had a tire rotation and brakes put on my car at a different shop.(Never going back to them ever again) and Jimmy didn't even charge me a dime. Super nice guy and pretty sure the whole crew is super nice as well. Thank you R&L! Thank you Jimmy! I'll be coming to R&L more often when I have car issues!

Really great experience! It was my first time going here for car repairs. It felt like an honest family owned business with integrity. The cost of labor and parts were lower than other estimates in the area. Avoid any potential judgments of the exterior of the shop. It's irrelevant! They're great:)
