This is my grocery store and I come here multiple times a week. I've never once stolen or done anything strange there yet the last few times I've been in there the clerks have been hovering over me at self checkout. I like to use it for the less interaction with people because I have anxiety but lately the clerks will stand over me and chat the whole time I'm ringing up my items. I feel like it's very disingenuous because they don't do it to other patrons. I've even seen them walk over to the registers when they see me coming even if there's other people in the area. It feels very targeted and I'm so uncomfortable. I'm not trying to call anyone out but it definitely happens more in the morning with the older staff members. The younger ones seem to give space and only come over if you need assistance which is how self checkout should be. If I wanted to exchange pleasantries I'd go to the regular register. If they think people are stealing there's more effective ways than causing people anxiety while they're trying to ring up their items. If it's such an issue, they can just get rid of self checkout but if they're gonna keep it then the staff needs to not breathe down peoples necks. It's uncomfortable and makes the shopping experience feel weird. If I wanted to feel like I'm being constantly watched, I'd go to Walmart

I go here almost every day to get doughnuts, coffee from inside Starbucks, or my wife telling me I forgot something. We take care of my elderly father in-law and his needs and wants are always changing. But the staff here especially a blonde lady that's always at checkout helps me find what I need quickly. I found out about the points I have and got $7 off my last $purchase and was awesome. The store is older but kept clean. The tall guy in the deli is one of the nicest men you will ever meet.

Do not shop at this location I had the worst experience in my life. The manager at the time refused to provide me with the district manager phone. Very unprofessional people and also disrespectful my experience happened on Sunday January 19 between 3 and 5 pm. The person in charge of handing on line orders doesn't deserve to work with in this place.

So, this is now my nearest "near me" grocery store and so far I'm kinda digging it. I've got really good deals there 3 of the 4 times I went in. Groceries are still more than reasonably expensive, and that's everywhere.. so I cannot give 5 stars.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, and one of my favorite people in Fort Collins works there (you know who you are) ;)

Great customer service at Riverside compared to Drake store. Friendly, happy environment here. Please put salmon with veggie in metal trays again. Other Safeways have them, but this location doesn't. The salmon trays are amazing.

9/10 I do grocery pick up. The substitutions are usually really comparable and I’m happy with them. Prices are so much better than King Soopers imo. They always have good deals on their app. The associates who bring out my order are always so friendly and helpful with loading my groceries into bags. I give this particular location a 5 star ⭐️
