I go grocery shopping everyday to avoid buying more than I should & this store is a lot more expensive than the nearby Safeway in town, King Soopers, Walmart & Target ($2-$3) more per item on pretty much everything another thing to note is they will price up items and put them on “ sale “ at regular price it isn't a bad place to grab a few things but it isn’t a grocery store to shop at if you wouldn't want to be price gouged

Ok, I have changed my review because they have fixed things in the bakery department. I have always had wonderful experiences with the staff they are always friendly and extremely helpful. The only issue I had was the few times in the Bakery Department, and those issues seem to be resolved at this time.

I've been shopping at this store off and on for almost 20 years now. Typically, everyone is very friendly and helpful. The familiar faces continue to be friendly, but some of the new employees are really bringing the place down.
Recently, I was standing in front of the condiment section, looking at the selection, when I was suddenly yelled at by an employee from about 20 feet away, on the other side of the self-checkout area. She yelled, "What are you looking for?" in a very aggressive and angry tone, as if I was doing something wrong by shopping and looking at the merchandise. I was shocked by her manner and told her I was shopping, to which she turned away in a huff.
I never received an apology or explanation for the extremely rude interaction. Even when leaving after paying for my items, I was ignored. In the past, I always got a "thank you for shopping" or "have a nice day." The employees "working" that day were too busy talking with each other to care about the customers in the store.
I've talked with others who have had similar experiences with the newer employees and being ignored. One person told me they asked for assistance and were told they were too busy to help, and then turned away to continue talking with other employees who were just standing around.
I don't see myself returning to this Safeway, which is a shame. I sent a message via the app to let them know of the interaction but have yet to receive any kind of response. Seems like no one cares about customer service anymore.

Junky and trashy looking inside! The checkers are rude especially the blonde tattooed one! And the frizzy red Afro one too. The doors don’t even work properly. It stinks inside like rotten fish. I will report to corporate Safeway management also. You better shape up! Because there’s a sparkling clean new beautiful king soopers next door now!

I came here to buy a birthday cake in a rush for my nephews birthday. I asked the man at the bakery if he could please write "happy birthday" on top of the cake and it was so sloppy you could barely ready birthday. I was so upset but i really wanted the cake which me and my husband spent $20 trying to pick one out for him and it's just going to get eaten so i just said whatever and apologized for the writing on top. If you want a cake from here i suggest you don't ask about writing. Cakes 10/10 but staff 2/10 recommend

Run down location, needs a renovation asap.
I noticed they have less selection than other locations.
Prices are high, but their weekly deals are good if you can plan your meals based on their sales and coupons.
Hard to find fresh produce, most of their produce is sad looking.
The bakery is not very fresh, I expect to find fresh bread in the morning but this is not the case.

Everytime I go here at least 2 of the items have defects. They freezers obv don’t work. I’ve had pizzas literally folded in half right out the box. Microwave means have the plastic already ripped up. Ice cream sandwich’s are sometimes just a melted blob. Like literally I’ve probably spent over $100 dollars on items that have been ruined and now won’t cook properly. The only reason I’m leaving a review is because every single time I’ve gone to this store living up here I always get a major flaw in something I buy. This has been a problem for months and I know I’m not the only one noticing it.

The deli is is AWEFUL! The hours you advertise for the deli are not correct. The hours advertised are the same as the regular store hours. But every time I go to pick chicken up on Monday… at 6 the deli is closed. Definitely needs more staff
