About The Four Winds
Located 3 miles north of CSU, The Four Winds has been family owned and operated since 1975. We are a horse boarding, lesson and training facility that services Northern Colorado. We are a hunter/jumper facility with a classical approach in training, led by head trainer Linnea Throckmorton. In addition to lessons, training, and boarding, we host clinics, camps, and horseshows on site. We look forward to answering the specialized needs of you and your horse.

I’ve been boarding at Four Winds on and off for almost 10 years now. I can’t say enough about the care that the owners have and responsiveness to questions or concerns. The barn always feels like a community and I never have to worry about my gelding when I’m out of town.

You will not find nicer people running a barn anywhere. They offer schooling shows and rated shows and we trailer from middle of wyoming every time! They make you feel like family every single time! We love Four Winds!

Amazing people. Amazing atmosphere. The barns are amazing. The trainers are amazing. The horses are well cared for. Best barn in Fort Collins. Truly.
