I went to the Frisco, Colorado loaf and jug 7/31/25 at approximately 6 AM. The store is set to open at 6 o’clock. It was not open until 615. I proceeded to go to the beverage aisle and took out some energy drinks. As I got to the counter to pay for them, the store employee started scanning them, then slamming them on the counter afterwards. I asked him what was the reason for slamming my stuff. He responded. It’s my store if you don’t like it go and find another one. That is when I replied, The store is supposed to open at six not 615. He replied with I just barely got here at six and there’s no staff working there because no one could pass background checks. He was not talking in a calm voice. He was very upset. I replied with that’s not my issue you don’t need to give me attitude. I’m just here to purchase some drinks. Then he began to reply and give me more excuses and I said I don’t care the store says it opens at six so it needs to open at six. This is not the first time this has happened. I drive through Frisco daily to go to work and it is always hit or miss if it will be open at six or not. As the arguing continued, he told me to not come back to HIS store. I called him a name and then left. He proceeded to come out and take a picture of my vehicle and said he was calling the police. This is really unacceptable and unprofessional behavior for a so-called manager. If the store says open at six, it needs to be open at six and the employees need to not have a terrible attitude that early in the morning if they are going to work that early in the morning. I go there pretty much every other day and I am really Disappointed mad and upset that this altercation had to occur. Unfortunately, I did not get his name in the heat of the moment. He said he was the manager. It was his store. He has glasses buzzed short black hair is about 5’ 9” and approximately 175 pounds. I have called and emailed HR office and they said they would get back to me and never have. This is a ridiculous and patheticway to treat your customers.

Morning staff on December 8th was extremely upset that we bothered him by stopping inside to pay for gas since the chip readers on both pumps I tried didn't work. You can't use Kroger fuel points any longer which is frustrating, and I only found out when the annoyed employee yelled at me about it.
I did return later in the day to grab a soda, and those two members of the staff were actually nice to me, and didn't act like I was ruining their day by being at a convenience store.
I'd say it's hit or miss, hopefully the guy that hates working their finds a job he enjoys.
