Terrible experience from the consignor side. I had a pair of K2 skis that were sold in 2019. It was only $60, but I realized they never paid me and I called to see what happened. They couldn't find an account for me, so I let it go. Some time later, I came across the paperwork with the account number on it and called to get a check issued. They said if you don't call for a balance within two years, you're "out of luck." I can understand if they keep the consignment merchandise, but the money??? I can't even believe this is legal! I was never informed when I dropped off the skis about this policy and the consignment document doesn't address this clearly either. And when I originally called, it was within two years, but they couldn't find my account! I've called a few times on this, and yes, this is the policy. They basically KEEP your money if you don't call for your check. And even trying to call for your check is a difficult process. It seems they're always short staffed. I called the owner today and he was rude, saying the policy is "outlined on the website." Really??? Do you think people go to the website to look for ways this business is going to keep YOUR consignment proceeds? This place is a racket. If you're a consignor, AVOID at all costs. Put your stuff on Craig's List or give to charity where more deserving people will benefit. An update: I changed my review from a one star to a two star. After I posted my review, I got an apologetic call from the store manager and I received a check. Apparently, there's been a transition due to new ownership. I was tempted to delete my review altogether, but this has been an unpleasant experience to say the least, and I do think their policy regarding payment to consignors is extremely harsh. If you're a consignor, just know the store payout policy before you decide to have a relationship with this merchant.

Huge selection of winter sports gear - some summer stuff too like hiking and camping gear, and some bikes. Great staff!

The limited amount of summertime stuff is poorly organized. Large bins of shoes all un-paired and thoughtlessly squished together. No shelves space to store any of it.

Called ahead prior to heading to Frisco Adventure Park regarding disc golf discs and they had two somebody brought in. The employees made a fair deal and we were on our way. A serious amount of ski equipment, bicycles (new/used) and so much more.

I love this store. My issue is with one of the employees. I left some belongings under Christopher P. McLain care. He works at Recycle Sports. He ignores my calls and sms. And if I call Recycle Sports he says "tell her I am on my lunch break". I would really love to get my stuff back. Some HONESTY would be great.

What an amazing find! We visited the store at the end of winter season and found everything we needed, and (much) more. The store manager, Collin, was abundantly helpful and generous with giving advice about gear and making sure my family had everything we needed for next season at a VERY affordable price.

I came into the store to pickup a pair of boots that I had consigned and they were not there. An employee nonchalantly informed me that the boots had been "swiped" and also that "this happens all the time" including with "his stuff." He went on to inform me that Recycle Sports is not responsible and that it's just "tough luck." They have hundreds of boots for sale many of which are far nicer than mine and I find it hard to believe that my boots would have been targeted for a theft.

Wasn’t open during regular scheduled hours, despite an employee being onsite (right out in front of the store) smoking a cigarette claiming it’s not open. You run a good business….now just hire some remotely competent people.

Yesterday feb 27 , 2023 I bought a pare of ski 90 cm for my grandchild, assuming will fit her ski boots. To my surprise, when getting home tried to regulate the bidings for her boots , but they where set for much larger boots.Next day tried to change the ski , but shop refused. When I bought the ski they didnt told me that changes where not allowed. In my opinion they provided a very poor service.

For a second-hand store this place is so expensive. We went in looking for some cheap used gear and the prices were close to new prices. My mind was blown. I did end up getting a duffel bag there because the tag said $41. The guy rang it up for $65, but I had been waiting to check out for maybe 10 minutes, so I didn't say anything because I just wanted to leave at that point.

Take your used ski equipment in and they will sell it and pay you no muss no fuss. Much easier than a ski swap.

I bought new poles for $25, the baskets on both poles broke on day two. I was told, 'baskets break you can buy new ones for $15'. So if you buy anything, even new equipment, expect no returns, no customer service and know you are getting the lowest quality. . I expected they'd give me a replacement pair or a store credit. Nope, nothing.
