This shop and the owner (shame on me for not asking her name) are absolutely wonderful! I'm hesitant with yarn shops because my experiences have mostly been uncomfortable. I usually feel like an imposter taking to most staff or shop owners, especially because I crochet and buy big store acrylic. I felt so welcome in this shop, and the owner was chatting with every single one of us, excited to answer our questions, offered recommendations and encouragement on our future crafting, even stopped to make Chai for a lady who had never had it, but was considering buying a little aroma cup rug that came with Chai. There is not just yarn, but lovely little gifts for others or yourself. I found some things for Christmas that were unique and useful. I would love to go back! Ask if the shed is open!

This yarn store is delightful. When I travel, I live to visit yarn stores so I have a basis for comparison! She carries lovely yarns, essential tools, some beads, and beautiful needles. I can’t recommend her shop highly enough.

What a quaint and cozy yarn shop. Upon walking inside it's a comforting feel. It's clean. The owner was friendly and helpful. The store was nicely merchandised. Good yarn selection. The samples were made well. It was a lovely store to walk around. I did see some yarns that not all stores have. That's always a treat. There was a small selection of spinning fiber. A nice area of notions were available. Overall, this store has it all--inviting atmosphere as well as beautiful yarns and handy notions.

Fantastic selection of yarns! Off the beaten path, but so worth it! I am already planning on making a scarf with the gorgeous Colorado dyed yarns!

I would move to the pretty little town of Georgetown just to knit with the owner. She is so helpful and interesting to talk with about the craft. The yarns are beautiful too. Definitely worth visiting!

My husband and I were recently in CO for a weekend getaway and decided to stop by this little shop! I am an avid knitter and wanted some souvenirs. Ruth the owner was so sweet and welcoming! She answered any questions we had and offered to ball my yarn for me while I shopped. We left so excited with our finds. A few days later I decided I wanted to go back and buy a needle set. It was around 4:30pm and we had around a 20 minute drive before we would be there. I called the shop and told her who I was and asked if she would still be there around 4:50pm or if she was closing early for some reason. She remembered me right away and told me to come on and that she would stay open until we got there. She ended up bringing out some new sets she hadn't put out yet for me to look at as well! We had such a wonderful experience both visits on this trip and will definitely return if we are ever in the area again!

Disappointed she is not going to carry fabric any longer. Had very small selection to choose from. BUT will continue as a yarn shop which she had a very large selection from whT I cod see. Very cute shop and recommend for people who crochet or knit.

This is a charming and selectively stocked with yarns one doesn't see ever day. The owner, Ruth, was very accommodating by coming in early for us. There are beautiful samples around the shop. I say it should be a definite stop for anyone who loves fabulous, high quality luxury yarn.

My 81 year old mom traveled to Colorado to visit me, and I wanted to stop in Georgetown when we took a drive up into the mountains. I've lived in Colorado for 10 years but haven't ever been to Georgetown, despite being a huge fan of Sandra Dallas! We saw the display for the Quilted Purl at the visitor's center, and knew we HAD to go. Mom knits and weaves, I sew and am a would-be spinner, what's not to love about a place that sells fabric, fiber, and all kinds of notions and decorative items? The proprietress was so very very helpful, and spent a lot of time talking to us about everything, and of course we spent $$ there! Just so glad that we found it, and it was worth the two block walk from the "main drag" to get there. I will be visiting again next time I'm up that way!

I really enjoyed my trip to see you and your adorable shop. Thanks for helping put the finishing touch on my scarf. My family loved your comfortable deck! 511 Rose was the perfect place for lunch. Food was good and we loved the decor! Visiting with you and your shop is always one of my Colorado Highlights!
