About Wildlife Viewing Area
The Wildlife Viewing Area offers two incredible views: a peaceful lake and rugged cliffs. It is a nice area off the highway for wildlife watching and a great fishing spot for trout in the lake and stream. It is one of the best places to see bighorn sheep. The elevated observation area provides free monoculars, binoculars, and telescopes. It is a cool and beautiful place where looking for animals is great for all ages.

Visited first week of May. No luck with the wildlife view, but a good trail around the lake . Picnic area, spots for fishing . Plenty parking .

We were visiting Georgetown in early March and dropped by this place that was recommended by the store attendant at the “Colorado T-Shirt and Espresso Store”. It has a nice view of the lake and the mountains. We didn’t see big horn sheep.
