Great place to shop. The prices are cheaper than aspen and the staff was extra friendly and helpful!

I have a small medical dog that has ADA papers and was approved by my doctor because he alerts me to my medical issues. The manager embarrassed me greatly by questioning me about service animal and over did it by constantly questioning me. If there was somewhere else to shop in Glenwood Springs, I would. City Market you’re in violation of ADA regulations.

Since this is the main and only large grocery chain in town we have little choice but to shop here. There prices are higher than Walmart or target plus you better check your receipt as the price they post is wrong at check out. Example Sea Pac frozen shrimp price on tag 8.99. Price at check out 10.49. This is one example but I could give more if needed. They raise there prices and when they put it on sale it reflects back to the original price. Example red peppers price was 1.59 each they raised it to 1.69 then the next week lower it back to 1.59 on sale. Really. Kroger (city market) has a monopoly in every town in the roaring fork Valley and takes every advantage of it.

Not like this company would ever care what their customers think but here is my review anyway. This store is terrible, it's cramped, it's limited, it's way too busy for it's own good, the coupons don't work, the BOGO sales don't work. (be sure to check your receipt) I'll be commuting 12 miles to Carbondale city market for some sanity. What a joke of a store.

This place is awful! Only self check out was open and we had 2 carts worth of groceries for our stay. The guy running the self check out Josh was so rude & snarky. Not helpful in any way. We had to keep calling himOver b/c we were well over the limit of items for self checkout. He would not open any normal check out where they actually have to work and check someone out so we had to keep waiting for him to come approve each time we reached the limit which was atleast 10 times. He seemed incredibly annoyed with us the entire time. But what else are we do to when you have no normal lines open and only self check out. It took us over 30min to check out. Josh to be even more of a jerk wanted to card both my husband and myself to buy bottle of champagne. This was at the end of check out and i said really you have my husbands id. And he said he has every right to card everyone. So i had to dig my id out. I’m 43!!! He just wanted to frustrate us even more! I never leave bad reviews but this deserved it. Horrible customer service!!!The guy in the deli was the only pleasant worker there. Josh needs a class in customer service & etiquette!!! Don’t shop here

My daughter went in to order my wife a birthday cake. The woman wouldn’t even bring the book out for her to look at. The woman basically just decided what would be best. She was extremely rude and unprofessional.

No Baskets or Small Carts for the last few months. Just going to hurt their bottom line from people buying less and creating more spills/damaged goods from carrying too much in their arms... or just not shopping here at all.

To the manager that followed us around the store, you are not slick, if we wanted to shoplift we easily could have. Otherwise, besides the manager attempting to run the place like a dollar tree version of Fort Knox the staff were friendly. The store is pretty clean and otherwise no complaints, just check our receipt like a normal person instead of following us around. If I wouldn’t have spotted your manager badge under your jacket I honestly may have called the cops.(don’t you have security cameras?? Use them.)

The BAGS yall! They were always super flimsy and once you got home most had holes. Fingers crossed that your groceries dont fall out onto the ground... but they were free. Now that you CHARGE for every bag... its a different story. You are charging people for these tissue paper thin bags and Im sitting here going through because I try to reuse as much as I can and all but ONE were too holy and had to be thrown away. Which is usually the case but when you pay for these bags... I dont expect them to rip at every corner. I know Im not the only one that feels this way. You had some in carbondale that were so thick I could use them all year. I could just bring my own, I know this. However... I usually forget them. That doesnt change the fact that you are charging for these bags that barely get your groceries home.

This store has no interest in keeping their departments open. Forget going to the deli and getting dinner, forget going to the bakery to get a cake, these people will literally take the product out of your hands and throw it away before they actually try to provide any customer satisfaction.

I wouldn’t usually care enough to give a review but Yasmin at the self checkout area is absolutely crushing it all the time. She was the only person at the self checkout there tonight with like 40 customers. She always has an amazing attitude and works so hard. I really appreciate her.

This location is in desperate need of a remodel. It’s dirty, run down, and somehow extremely pricey. Two days in a row of deli closed and no rotisserie chickens out. Some of the staff are so friendly and helpful while others will straight up ignore you or run you over with their stock carts. Just drive a little further if you can and go to the Carbondale location it’s much nicer.

Dennia was fantastic at the coffee stand this morning. Above and beyond. Give her a promotion!
