We were traveling Colorado for 2 months in the motorhome and exploring with our Jeep, we lost the bushings in the rear trailing arms, the whole vacation was based around doing lots exploring mines and back trails. No other shops would touch it for 2 to 3 week,we came in with hat in hand. They have been in business for over 30 years, with vast knowledge of off road vehicles and bit and pieces of 30 years of work, they found parts that would fit, fixed us up and sent us on our way. These are great people. They saved our vacation and wasn’t told to get rid of my favorite Jeep. THANKS GUYS again

I needed a new drivers seat and an installation for my 99 Jeep Cherokee. I called around and found 4 Wheelers, located in Glenwood, CO. They gave me a quote for the job and the cost of the seat. They did a great job, completed the job on time at the price that was quoted to me. No complaints at all. Nice people that do a good job. Cheers 4 Wheelers.

I had a broken drivers seat in my 99 Jeep Cherokee, so I called around trying to shop for a new seat and installation. I called The 4 Wheelers located in Glenwood, CO and they found a seat and said they could install it for me. They were upfront about the cost for the seat and installation. They did a great job, on time and at the price that was quoted. I do not have any complaints at all, they were friendly and helpful. Thank you 4 Wheelers, good job.

My dad keeps taking his truck back to these guys. He has given them thousands of dollars. Everything is new underneath the hood right down to the exhaust pipes and yet the damn thing leaves puddles of oil and transmission fluid in my driveway and parking area every time we get it back (5 times)

I took my 04 Jeep into 4 Wheelers to get tires and suspension work if needed. The work took 9 days (12 hrs of labor) and was a little more extensive than what I originally anticipated. After receiving the shocking invoice I did dozens of calculations and made numerous calls. There are 5 reasons why you should not take your vehicle to 4 Wheelers.

1. Excessive labor charges. Four Wheelers has a labor rate of $150.45. When I asked about the excessive labor rates I was told they raised their rates 3 years ago to match the going rate in town. I called 5 auto repair shops in town and found the average rate of these 5 was`$113.36. I did not call 15 and pick the lowest 5, I only called 5. So either these 5 shops dropped their rates in the last three years or Lindsey lied. I am betting on the latter. I could have saved $449 in labor if I would have gone anywhere else. 2. Extreme parts markup. I researched every part that was used on my vehicle and found I could have saved $844 if I would have bought all the parts myself. The parts I am most familiar with is the brake parts bought from Napa. If I would have bought the rotors and pads from Napa I would have been charged $163.23. Four wheelers charged me $302.64 or a markup of 85%. This markup is above the price I could get the parts and I am positive 4 Wheelers gets a discount so I am sure their markup on parts is around 105%. 3. Four Wheelers uses book hours for labor instead of actual labor hours. I was charged 1.8 hours to replace the rotors and pads for the rear brakes or $271 in labor. I am not a mechanic but I have replaced rotors and pads and I know for a fact I can replace rotors and pads in 1.8 hrs. A skilled mechanic can do this under an hour easily. BTW - I was charged a total of $573.45 to do the rear brakes only. If I would have done it myself I would have saved $410. 4. Excessive sub contract markup. For an alignment 4 Wheelers subcontracted the work to PDA. This work was $74.45 and 4 Wheelers charged me $160 or a markup of 115%. I can understand charging $20 to bring the Jeep over there but charging me an additional $86??!!! 5. The mysterious 6% shop charge. I am guessing this is for grease and rags. Apparently the excessive labor charges, big parts markups, bogus book hours, and sub contract ripoff is not enough to pay for rags and grease. In my case this was an extra $127. Your shop bogus charge may be more or less depending on the extent of ripoff charged. I give them credit. They can look you in the eye and somehow justify their excessive charges. Take your vehicle anywhere else. You will thank me when you get the invoice.
