Very rude on the phone and is zero help when it comes to working on vehicles. Do not go here or bother calling him.

Extremely rude. Called to get a quote and he responded “prices are too high for you” and then hung up.

they got the job done but totally take advantage of people driving through $245 for one hour of labor. And they don't let you wait there on their property while your vehicle is getting fixed had to set the gas station next-door. Probably because they don't want to know how long it took him to work on your vehicle.

Tom saved the day!We were at a campsite nearby when our Jeep Grand Cherokee just DIED as we were pulling out to go to a trailhead. We deducted that we needed a new alternator and battery. In calling around to various shops on a Saturday at 1pm, everyone was closed. When we called ARS, Tom answered! Although they were officially closed , Tom listened to our issue and offered to help us even though it was his time off from work! After getting towed to him, he had our Jeep working and back on the road in 2 hours! Had it not been for our hero, we would've had to cut our camping trip short and be towed back to Thornton, CO! We are extremely appreciative for Tom. I've read other reviews where some mention that Tom was rude. He is definitely a straightforward person. So just go with the flow of him and you will be fine. He's a good guy and a veteran!

These guys are jerks. I brought them a tire to repair. They told me that it was not repairable. They charged me $40.00 for their opinion.Service: Tires

Dropped a flat tire off for repair. They filled it with air, told me that it was not repairable and charged me $40.00 for their (expert?) opinion. Also a nasty attitude. There are a lot nicer ploaces to get ripped off.

I was helping my daughters friend with her car that had broken down and was parked at his shop. After him not being able to find the keys to the car and leaving his hearing aid attached to the vehicle, and not even knowing who's car it was and being extremely rude, saw me and told me I owed him money from 2 years ago for a car I sold 8 years ago? He then turned around and told the girls, who were already upset, to MOVE out of his way very aggressively.. It made for a very scary situation for the teen girls being away from home and this being their first breakdown.

I would never recommend this guy to anyone. He is extremely rude. Refuses to deal with warranty companies. Expects you to pay an arm and a leg just for diagnosing.

I was traveling through Granby when my Jeep Grand Cherokee died. I had no idea where to have a tow truck take it, but was recommended this place (also called ARS). I was so impressed. Both Tom and Adam were professional, communicative, they figured out the problem right away, and had me back on the road a few hours later. 10/10 would recommend this place if you are in the area and need a repair. Thank you, Tom!

After having complicated car problems on a trip, Tom drove us to our accommodation while he worked on our car, and back when he was finished within the day. Saved my proposal to my then girlfriend. Not only competent but a genuinely good person.Services: Auto engine diagnostic

This man is very rude, mean and overpriced. All he wanted to do was yell at me and not come up with a solution to my flat tire I had. He said he would not get out of his couch for any less than $180.... then said if I brought the tire to him, which was impossible by the way he would charge me $50. Do not call this guy for anything unless you enjoy being yelled at and overpriced.

After having to coast down Berthoud Pass into Winter Park and getting a tow to this location after our van's gears no longer functioned, Tom did some troubleshooting and steered us in the right direction, honestly giving us an assessment, and dealing with another tow truck that took our big camping van over the mountain to Golden so that it could be serviced at a dealership as per the warranty, which Tom told us about. His fees were lower than we feared, in line with what he predicted, and now we wait as supply chain issues hinder the arrival of a new transmission. Thank you Tom!! We will bring you cookies next time we are in town.

I was nervous about taking our expedition there after some of the reviews I read. But Tom was very professional and got our brakes fixed that day. He doesn't beat around the bush or sugar coat stuff. He tells you how it is and he understood we were 12 hours from home. And was fair with his pricing. Especially since other mechanics couldn't get to it for a week or longer. Thanks Tom. If you're not a local needing a good mechanic I highly recommend him.Service: Brakes

On the final day of a snowboarding trip in Winter Park, my friend and I awoke to a flat right-front tire on our rented 4Runner. As two out-of-staters from urban areas, we did not anticipate how difficult it would be to find an open repair shop two hours outside of Denver on a Sunday. At the suggestion of our tow driver, the 4Runner was towed to Tom's shop (Alternate Sources). We were told that Tom is curt but competent - "He's blunt, but if anyone can fix your truck, it's Tom." Our driver was right. Tom took in the vehicle and told us to "go get a coke" (e.g., "let me work in peace"). 30 minutes later, Tom called us back to the shop. We rounded the corner to the parking lot and saw our rented 4Runner parked outside with the original right-front tire inflated and in place. "It was a bead leak. Probably hit a block of ice - had to put the tire back in place," Tom said. For a total of $170 (incl. an additional charge for weekend service), Tom salvaged our travel plans by saving our mobility. Tom's idea of customer service is based not in empathy for you and your vehicular challenge(s) but in addressing the issue(s) at hand as quickly and conclusively as possible. If you're in the Granby area and your chief priority is to get back on the road, go to Tom's.Service: Tires
