Absolutely annoying having to check every single item you pick up for an expiration date. A month over expiration soft cheese is not reasonable by any standards. Especially when you pay 20% more for the same items compared to Safeways in much smaller remote locations. This store is too busy to have an excuse for selling expired food.

I always did like this store I just don't know why when you're handling food you don't wear gloves there is enough diseases going on around this time of year and a lot of the elderly that go in there can't afford to get sick but yet they still don't care it seems like this store has been going downhill lately I hope they get it together

I wish there were more self check outs at this point because the registers don't get used even when there are large lines and Safeway workers chilling and vibing at all times

I am most familiar with the pharmacy here. I haven't shopped a lot. The store is clean and organized. The pharmacy is great. The staff is very efficient and helpful. I recommend them.

Good grocery store. High prices. Must have a Safeway account to get discounts. Annoying discount pricing scheme - when you read the ‘fine print’ then usually the discount is applied once you buy four or five of the product. Some discounts are for a single purchase but make sure you read the fine print.

If I could give Horizon Drive Safeway a negative rating, I would. This Safeway has the worst customer service and bakery department. I called six times today and got hung up on, causing significant inconvenience. The bakery needs 24 hour notice for a cake order. I called at 4 pm on Thursday for a 5 pm Friday pick up order. I called at 4 pm and was disconnected three times; a live person answered my fourth call by 4:30pm. The mail rep in the bakery denied placing the order because it was too late and they were too busy. I requested to speak with a manager, and Wendy, the front desk rep, stated, “I just work in customer service and not the bakery“. That’s awesome, Wendy. May I speak with the manager? My call was disconnected. I called back two more times right away to get hung up on. The Horizon Drive Safeway needs serious customer service training. I will continue to drive further from my home to attend another Safeway.

Large grocery outlet with a decent deli, good sushi and frequently well-prepared fried chicken as good or better than fast-food outlets.
