The last self service, car wash bay on the East end, next to the automatic wash bay (drive thru), stole my quarters. I tried the coin return and it didn't work. The digital readout didn't show I'd deposited anything at all! There was no one around. Didn't see a phone number on the signage, anywhere. That's bad. Googled the car wash info. on my cell phone. Called the number to the car wash to report it.A woman answered and she told me to come back to the car wash when the attendant was there, to ask for a refund. She said the attendant had just left - he'd gone home, already, on that day.Guess they live too far away to come out to fix the machines, so heaven knows how many people were losing / had lost their money, that day. Oooo! Bad for business!I was able to find some more quarters, so I pulled into another bay, and washed my vehicle there. No one ever showed up to check the East Bay.If I was the owner or manager, I would have immediately headed over to fix the car wash, or put signage it was out of order (orange cones in the entrance or something like that), and refund the money it had taken from a customer - then given them a FREE wash on top of that for the inconvenience!Sorry, I understand people are tired at the end of the day, so they go home. However, when you run a business like that, you must know that you need to have someone available ON CALL or go yourself, to FIX BREAK DOWNS. Otherwise, people will get their money taken by the machines. Someone might even break the machine further, trying to get their money back from the coin return slot. More $$$ lost!In my opinion, my call to them wasn't just about ONE customer losing a few quarters... it should've been looked at from the standpoint that the bay wouldn't WORK UNTIL IT WAS FIXED, and a lot of customers might decide to just go to the car wash across the road, taking their business elsewhere and NEVER coming back! It's bad business to do nothing except shrug your shoulders.
