Horrible experience last night. Arrived just after 5 pm, it was crazy busy, got a buzzer and watched groups of people arriving after us, being seated and leaving while we waited. We were even the butt of jokes. Staff was frazzled, none too friendly, especially at the host stand, herding people around without any apparent care for the guests. After an hour waiting the drafty foyer with the door constantly being opened and shut our buzzer went off and we went in to be told there was no table for five and it would be at least another hour. By 6:45 I decided to go home to give my friends a better chance at a table for 4. I guess adding a chair to a table is too much to ask. since it was so very busy I assume that the food is good but I will never know because I will not be back.

For our family, We'll El Mirador is our go to for fast, delicious Mexican food. So grateful they are in our neighborhood but we would probably drive there even if they weren't. Compare your favorite meal and restaurant with El Mirador, you will have found another winner!

My husband and I I have been going here for over 8 years. Recently we just got the worst service. Waited over 30 minutes and watched people come in, get a buzzer and continued to get seated before us. After about 4 parties were seated before us, we let me know we are still waiting. They said we would get seated next. We watched a couple come in and get seated by a server without even having a buzzer. And then two other couples who got buzzers seated again before us. We ended up leaving and no remorse from the staff. Very disappointed!

The world is a beautiful place and El Mirador is proof of that. Salsa is fye. Could probably use it as toothpaste. Except I would want to eat it

I've been her multiple times, and it's always consistently bad. Always overpriced, and the quality is sub-par. For starters, what is up with the beans? My favorite part of the dish is their refried beans. I love them here. They hand you this plate that stretched across half the table and present your hot food. They put on 2 tablespoons of beans and smear it so thin that it appears to be a lot about 4 to five inches around. I scoup it into a single pile and eat it all up in one bite. The third time in 3 months, I've been here, and it's always served the same. Refried beans are literally the cheapest thing in the world, and to be skimpy at a Mexican restaurant is so sad. Ordered a kids chicken fingers, and as you can see in the picture, the oil was so old the chicken came out dark with a burnt flavor. The fries looked OK but also had the same old oil taste to it. My wife ordered the Chili Colorado, and she was disappointed. Plate consisted of nothing but potatoes with the tiniest ground meat in it. Any place I've ever visited had chunks of protein in it packed full of flavor. Regardless of the size of meat I'm used to, it should never be overpowered by the cheap potato. Look at the picture! It's pathetic to charge for this. She was also charged close to $4.00 for a Pepsi! Never came back to offer a refill until we were about to leave. The damn Pepsi is full of ice. That's about 3 or 4 gulps before you're finished. My plate of Camarones a la Diabla was great. No complaints there. Other than the fact my 1 michelada cost me 14.00. That one beer was almost equivalent to my seafood dish was a little extreme. I ordered a Michelada. 12.00 dollars! They gave me a mug that fits a 12-oz beer with a little room to fit a splash of anything extra . I have the same mugs at my bar. Usually at restaurants, they serve you a glass with the mix, a little bit of the beer, and serve you the beer bottle on the side because it doesn't all fit In The glass they serve you. My michelada tastes like straight beer with a tiny splash of mix. I ask the waitress if I can have a little extra mix because my beer tastes like a straight up beer and she comes back and brings me extra mix that later shows up on my bill with a charge of 2.00. Making my total for the michelada $14 00. I understand that everything is insanely overpriced now a days and i expected to pay more than usual, but this is robbery. Why do the quality and portion sizes disappear with a HEFTIER upcharge? Seriously, with tip, this meal came out just shy of $100.00. I do cook at home a lot. When I decide to go out, it should never be like this. Half a star rating for the third attempt.

It was good back in the day the food was delicious, i dont know if they change the cook but the food its not the same. I used to get the bacon wrapped shrimp with chipotle sauce i loved the sauce but last time i went it was pure chipotle which makes it not tasteful.

This place is quite a cool spot. Eat at the bar if you are on your own or with a friend. Although I prefer Belatrans for most Mexican food, I think the Green Chile at El Mirador is better......more layers of flavor. The food at El Mirador is also spicier than most. So be prepared for that. Handicapped entry is at the back and not obvious.

While in Colorado; I used yelp to find one of the best spots for fish tacos and this restaurant came up. Upon arriving at this venue; parking lot was already full. As I got closer to the door I saw people waiting by the door to be seated. Well I went in there and there was a lot more people and the waiter said the wait time was about 20-40mins. So I opted to seat at the bar. I was so hungry lol. They were extremely busy and it literally took almost 25mins to get my food; good thing the house margarita was available so I got one while I was waiting. Ordered the fish tacos and it came with fries and a side of rice as well. I liked how nicely fried & crispy it was but it was a bit salty. The rice was salty too. Though it still didn't stop me from it; after adding a bit more lettuce and tomatoes; it was a good to eat. Just eating the tacos and some fries left no room for the rice. So I left it but overall good ambience and there is outdoor seating as well.
