Frank Brewster was great to work with, very competitive on pricing, and forthright and honest in his dealings. I ended up buying locally, but would highly recommend Mike Shaw Subaru in Greeley, and Frank Brewster in particular, class act!

I drive two states away to get my Subaru serviced here. Hands down the dealership that I trust to service my STI. Worth the windshield time to stop in. They have a variety of subi gear in stock to take a look at and update the wardrobe.

I’ve now tried twice to have my Solterra EV serviced at Mike Shaw Subaru in Greeley, and both times were—let’s just say—character-building experiences. I realize other Subaru dealerships are farther away, but honestly, if their service departments are even slightly better, it would be worth the extra miles and gas (or electricity).
Visit #1: The glamorous 5,000-mile service with just a tire rotation and inspection (remember, it’s an electric vehicle). I made an afternoon appointment, waited over an hour, and when I finally got back into my car, the “Maintenance Required” message was still happily glowing on my dashboard. The technician had three jobs: inspect a basically new car, rotate the tires, and reset the maintenance indicator. Two out of three isn’t terrible if you’re flipping a coin—but it’s not great for a service department. Apparently, there’s no final check to make sure the service work was completed accurately.
Visit #2: Another technically challenging tire rotation at 10,000 miles, but this one didn’t even make it to the “service” part. When scheduling online, I noticed every single time slot for the entire week was wide open—like a buffet of availability. Odd, but okay. I booked another afternoon slot, showed up, and the good news was that they knew I was coming. Bad news: after over an hour of waiting for just another tire rotation, they had only managed to move my car into the shop. I finally gave up, told a service advisor I had to leave, and escaped through an open bay door. No apology, no “let’s make this right,” no offer to reschedule at a less-busy time. Just me and my unrotated tires driving away in disappointment. It’s been over a week, and still no follow-up from Mike Shaw Subaru.
Eventually, it dawned on me: they don’t actually adjust their schedule based on workload, number of customers ahead, or how many technicians are available. Every time slot is always open! It looks great online, but it’s basically an illusion, like those medical offices where your “appointment” means you get to wait longer in a smaller room.
If you’ve read this far, you probably already know where this is going. I cannot recommend Mike Shaw Subaru in Greeley for service. If they can’t complete a 5,000-mile service correctly or within a reasonable amount of time, I wouldn’t feel confident trusting them with anything more complicated.
P.S. Check out their available appointments for tomorrow, which is a Saturday, no less. Does that seem odd to you?

Frank and the whole team did a great job helping me every step of the way through an unexpected vehicle purchase. I brought in my old subaru for repairs after a difficult trip through the mountains and they were able to get it in the next day for inspection. The cost to repair ended up being more than thay vehicle was worth and I decided to look for a replacement. After searching all over, the vehicle I settled on turned out to be at one of their partner dealerships and they were able to arrange to have it transferred over to Greeley. They gave me very fair trade in value for my old vehicle and were accommodating of the fact that I didn't have my title with me since I was visiting from out of state. Frank and Alex were personable, helpful, transparent, and very patient. I'm very pleased with the buying experience and with my new Forester.

I had an issue with some things not being explained as far as timing and costs. However, once I spoke with management my frustration was put to rest.

They’re so attentive until you buy the car. Once the deal is complete, they completely ghost you. I’ve emailed and left phone messages asking when I should expect my plate and title paperwork to be submitted. I bought my car end of July and I’m still waiting. October is next week! I can’t get my permanent plates until they do their job.

I visited Mike Shaw subaru after suspecting a possible issue with the transmission on my mother's 2016 Crosstrek. As a technician myself I did some homework and found that the transmission has a TSB (tsb number 16-115-18) which is a CVT warranty extension. 10 years or 100k, whichever comes first. The TSB states that an inspection must be completed before any repairs are done. So being that im not a subaru tech, I decided to drop the car off at my local subaru dealership (mike shaw) to have this inspection done. Upon chevk in in told them I was there to have my car inspected for said TSB, was asked if there were any concerns with the vehicle and I said yes, it does make a grinding noise under deceleration. They said okay, took down my info, i was on my way, easy enough. I received the inspection the following monday morning (had done a Saturday drop so kudos to the tech for getting to it quickly) the tech had stated that the noise was caused by some extra washers on the transmission mount (something i had done to try and isolate the noise prior) and it seemed to have fixed the noise, in the inspection the tech claimed he needed to test drive to verify, the tech also condemned the car to be leaking from the cam carriers and eternally from the head gasket with ZERO verification. I personally wouldn't condem a car to a 4000 dollar repair without verification. I gave Noe (my advisor) a call asking if I could come take the vehicle for a test drive to see if they really did fix the noise by removing the washers. I show up and sure enough, noise is gone, amazing! So kudos to the technician who was able to figure that out. I didnt have the ability to pick up that day so I asked if we could figure something out later and Noe obliged. Tuesday I send Noe a message about after hours pick up, he said yes of course I just need you to PAY for the repairs and then I'll leave the keys in the vehicle for you. Now hold on, the only thing I authorized to be done to this vehicle was for it to be looked at for the previously stated TSB I didnt authorize any repairs to be made, and was told explicitly upon check in by Jaz (very professional woman by the way, she did an amazing job) that I would have to sign again for any further action they may want to take. I quickly relayed this information to Noe, he then claimed that we spoke on the phone and that I an automotive technician, authorized 106 dollars for removal and installation of a single bolt. Obviously I did no such thing and he quickly retracted the charges, took care of it for me, and said the keys would be in the car under the floor mat for me. I appreciate his honesty in that. However I get there and my keys are locked in my car and I had to call to have someone come out with a breakout kit which I then used to break into my own car. All in all, there seems to be some miscommunication, some overworked advisors, and some overly hungry techs at mike shaw, I hope ya'll do better to serve your community 👍

What an outstanding experience at this dealership! Frank Brewster hands down is the best sales consultant that I've dealt with. He made the purchasing experience smooth and pleasant. I did not feel taken advantage of, which is a rarity in this industry. The whole team was great!

Incredibly unresponsive and dismissive. Now I know for sure where NOT to buy a new car.
