Cons: Crestron is a very poor performing system. I’ve seen it in use at each of our facilities with unacceptably low performance. From a KPI standpoint, they are buggy, prone to crashing, and the service ecosystem is subpar. You’ll find yourself spending money for breakages that are Crestron’s fault. Currently, we’ve paid 6x our original spend in services to maintain the system that would have been MUCH less with others. Ten years ago this was an acceptable solution with tolerable performance parameters, but in 2020 the market has surpassed them. If you’re looking at Crestron for your home or business, be sure to do your research on LTV costs. Pros: The service ecosystem has been friendly and response to all service requests.
