Was wholly dissatisfied with mortgage origination process. The mortgage banker got the math wrong on a spreadsheet for calculating different down payment/rate scenarios; I had to redo it for him. Additionally, he assured me that I could get a second appraisal. He was wrong on that too. Also, he implied that he had a strong handle on the mortgage rate market and could anticipate any significant movements - hahaha, wasn't even close. Not sure why I trust a mortgage banker - they're the used car salesmen of the banking world. Strongly advise looking elsewhere. Update - Though marketing reached out to me and I followed up with them, multiple times, I still haven't actually gotten a response. Lack of communication (same as with my mortgage originator) reinforces my one star review.

This bank recently took over some Colorado locations of my previous bank. Not only did I not get any notifications prior to being sent new checks and a note saying my routing number had changed, I can't get them to answer the phone and their location I went to yesterday was closed with no note. I am cancelling my accounts and moving them to a new bank because this experience has been awful. My family's accounts were all at my old bank, but because the address on my account was a Colorado address, despite also having a St. Louis address (where I opened the account), my account was switched with no warning to this new bank and none of the rest of our accounts were. I didn't even receive the note and new checks until the end of the last day of service under the old bank. Absolutely unacceptable especially in these uncertain times.
