We have stayed here a few times in our camper-van while on a road trip to and from our home in northern Colorado. It is conveniently located close to US Hwy 40; but, there is not too much highway noise at night. The restroom/bathhouse facility is kept clean and well-stocked. The sites are graveled and flat. There are sun-shelters over the tables, providing welcome summertime shade.

What jewel of a state park. We had a retreat there and made great use of both indoor and outdoor spaces. And the Shari and Kirk were so helpful and accommodating to our needs. The best.

Fun and clean campground. Spaces have plenty of room, so as to feel like your not on top of your neighbors. Restrooms are clean and available day or night. There is power to hook up your camper/rv, and a dump station on the way out if those services are needed. It is close to Highway 40, so you are going to hear vehicles pass by. All in all a nice place to camp.Restrooms: Clean but smell like outhouses

Beautiful river and a nice park. Our campsite #43 had a trail leading straight to the river where we fished. Cought frogs and crawdads and spotted bald eagles. I'll definitely be back to this part of Colorado first chance I get. Steamboat lake is beautiful I'd love to spend more time there and check out the dinosaur national monument a few hours away. We only had three days a yampa river and it wasn't enough time. Next summer I'm going to plan a 2 week camping trip and stay at a few different state parks In the area and yampa river will definitely be one of them. Kayaking the river was fun too. There's a place in Craig that rents kayaks and paddle boards called "good vibes" and they will drop you off and pick you up. Me And my family didn't want to leave. I highly recommend this park and surrounding parks in the area

Nice, small campgrounds. Not much in the way of tree baffling so road noise from the highway was a bit louder than I'd have preferred in the tent area. I stayed during early July so there was a significant mosquito population. The facilities do include private showers with reasonable water pressure and temperature, as well as a coin laundry. The boat ramp down to the river was fine. Informational signage was good. The crew staffing the office and the camp hosts were all quite friendly and helpful.Restrooms: Both a number of vault toilets as well as a building with flush toilets. The building also included private showers, and a coin laundry.

As a non resident it was a bit pricey but still a really nice park. Tent camping is a bit of a test, I could not drive up to my tent spot even though a road is provided. There is a small wagon that you use to haul your stuff in and out. Difficult when there are other campers doing the same thing. The vault toilet is close by. Showers and laundry facilities are nice and clean.

Lovely park. Well laid out campground. Sparkly clean restrooms and showers. A little close to the highways, so there is a lot of traffic noise.

I wish I could give a zero star. This doesn't have anything to worth even a 30 minutes drive. Located right behind the highway, you won't be able to sleep all night long because of the traffic noise. There is no hiking trails or anything here. They don't water the grass in the park so all dried. Honestly, this is the worst place to camp at.

Stopped here for the night on our way through. Very nice park. Quiet, shaded tables, clean bathrooms, showers and laundry. We really enjoyed this stop.

What an awesome State RV & Tent Park. The state employees were very nice and helpful, the Camp Hosts did an excellent job maintaining the grounds and bathrooms and showers. There is 30 & 50 amp hookups at camp site with a great 2 sided fresh water fill and dump station. Very nice visitor center as well. I wish all State Parks were as well organized and maintained as the Yampa Valley State Park.

Lovely, well-maintained campground with flat sites and nice bathrooms and showers. A gravel walking/ biking trail goes all the way around, with views of the river and woods and meadow. Children's play area with modern jungle gym.

Super helpful information! Didn't camp because it's still covered in snow, but the gentleman in the office was super helpful and had tons of information! The camp looked amazing and had good facilities including showers!
