Kindest, most welcoming owners in a lovely town of Hugo!! We brought our 5-month old son to the town because his name is Hugo and EVERYONE starting with Nigel at the Hugo sign outside the Hugo liquor store were everything you’d hope for in a small town. Plus they have NA beers and Nigel gave us an amazingly unique liquor recommendation from South Africa!

Came here with my mother during the holidays. The owner of the store spent a good 30 minutes visiting with us and telling us stories. Super cool guy! Overall we had a great experience here, definitely recommend to anyone passing by. Also a great selection of drinks.

Stopped here to take a picture of their really fantastic neon sign. Nigel came out & told me about the building & the town and suggested some art around the town. Super friendly & brightened my day! Popped inside and it seemed like they had a nice selection!

Never thought I'd review a liquor store but, here I am. Stopped off here to take a picture in front of the big Hugo mural out front. The owner, Nigel, popped out to greet us and give us a bit of background on the area. What a wonderful chat! We were in need of some beers for the roadtrip and got to talking further -- realized the owners originate from South Africa and we talked about all of our experiences there. So welcoming! They seem to really be invested in the Hugo community and I'd love to have that in my own neck of the woods. We'll certainly be passing back through again next month on our next drive out to Denver! Thanks Nigel and Clare!

Nigel is the BEST! We strolled in looking for a bottle of Woodford and ended up being entertained with wonderful hospitality. We are passing through on our way to go snowboarding and this was one of the best finds on our road trip. We will be stopping back on our way back home.

Clare and Nigel are great people, friendly and funny. The building is historical with some really neat vintage features, including the neon sign. Large variety, and they sell pops and things as well!

When you're going on 287 to Denver or from Denver, Hugo's is the best place to stop. Make sure to ask for Nigel, he's a charming fellow and showed us a good time with many stories.
