THE dirtiest petro ive been to, and ive been OTR for a minute. Every inch of the store smells. The cashier just stares at you, and the restrooms made me hold it for another hour.

Purchased 5 of the cinnamon rolls to go. They were a big disappointment in that the icing sticks to the top of the container they are sold in. The container has a fluted style cover which is smashed down on the roll. Will not purchase again.

I wanted to share my thoughts on Johnson's Corner. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The cinnamon rolls, in particular, didn't live up to the hype. Despite the buzz, my visit left me questioning what all the excitement was about.

After hearing about this place for years we finally had a chance to eat here and I was left highly disappointed. I had the biscuits and gravy and it was barely ok. The hash browns were on their way to cold the gravy was just ok. The eggs were ok. The only highlight was the biscuits were fluffy and tasted good. My son had the Cinnamon roll French toast which was decent but my other son's breakfast burrito was just ok. The waitress was nice and responsive and was on top of it for the most part. The bathroom floor was disgustingly sticky but everything else was semi clean. I get it's a truck stop diner but I have been to a lot of places that were better and cleaner.

Grading scale:1-2: avoid3-4: poor5-6: fair7: good8-great9-fantastic10-unheard of!Great service (8) from Joshua/Javier.Chicken Fried Steak (6-7) $15.89Sausage gravy was ok. Not too sausagy but much prefer regular cream gravy. Seems to be a regional thing as some places (like this one) don't even have regular cream gravy. Steak was pretty good, but frozen item. Not tough and breading was nicely even and not crunchy.Hot Beef Sandwich (7) $12.49Decent sized portion with real pot roast. Two slices bread under meat and potatoes. Potatoes were good but probably instant as very smooth.Brown gravy was almost too salty but not still good.Portions were large enough that I (female) couldn't finish.Would suggest they add a small side vegetable for variety. Restroom was clean and in good condition. As a disabled woman, I appreciated the counter that wasn't too deep to reach the soap dispenser and the paper towel dispensers that were not blocked by the trash can.Restaurant entrance on north west side not clearly marked.

If you are on a road trip this Summer up north, get to this place! The gas station/restaurant truck stop is actually really delicious. A lot of homestyle meals to make you feel a part of that old American tradition the stories once talked about. But, it does come at a price. The service is sluggish due to the staffing issues on top of the crazy demand to visit during lunch hours. Breakfast, however, is a dream.

Came in on the advice of the book "Road Food." As promised, this is a trucker's paradise, with ample parking and gigantic booths. The food is mostly a miss. The signature item is a massive cinnamon roll, but it was nearly devoid of flavor (the slim amount of caked-on sugar glaze didn't make up for this). The other things we tried were items I would never get here again, save for the chicken-fried steak, which was manageable. Maybe I would bring kids here, because most kids don't know quality when it hits them in the face. Otherwise, continue searching for better options.

This used to be a decent place and it had nice home style food. Unfortunately, the family sold to Petro. who has destroyed it. I could not even get a bite of mashed potatoes or whatever they are down! Ugh it was disgusting. There were 3 tables of people In restaurant yet it took over an hour to get food that wasn't edible. This is a kitchen nightmare: 1 star is generous. Not going back and that is sad because I once loved this place. Even the famous cinnamon roll now is a corporate chemical disaster.

It took a while to get seated. They were understaffed. Our server, was very polite and she did keep coming back to refill our drinks and let us know they only had one cook. My bacon was perfect, eggs were cooked as ordered and the french toast was really good. My husband didn't seem to have complaints about his chicken fried chicken. Now the bad part. We got pastries to go. I got an apple fritter type thing. It was stale. We also got 2 cinnamon rolls. The icing was hard and stuck to the container. If you heat it up per the directions, the icing softens, but the cinnamon roll gets rock hard quickly. We decided to try the 2nd cinnamon roll not heated up. It was stale. We went here intentionally to get these "famous" cinnamon rolls. Definitely not worth it. The local grocery store has better.
