I came into the store because I was having severe pain in my left boot - boots purchased elsewhere 3 weeks ago Cody scanned my foot, sold me a custom orthopedic insert - punched out the area that was bothering me I left a happy camper and have skied all morning with zero pain and way more control over my skis Staff was very nice and committed to help the customers in the store while I was there FYI - I work at Keystone in Mountain Safety and ski 10 hour days - comfort is critical to me being able to perform my job This place it the bomb!

Wanted to get a new set of fitted boots. Called a few days prior to coming, yep we're open. Website says open, Google says open, walk up to see the sign say they're closed for the season. Good thing there were other boot fitters open in breckenridge, whose website had correct and up to date information. Saved a couple hundred dollars too.

Don't bother coming here if you're not a skier, charged me $45 to mold snowboard boots when most places are free. Brushed off any questions I had by saying he wasn't a snowboarder. Felt super rushed out. Spent 5 minutes to heat the boots then asked me to put it on and said I'm all set.Thank you for your response. I have emailed you twice and have not heard back. Response was just for show.

I had an excellent experience at Surefoot Keystone with their friendly and helpful staff, Cody in particular. I came in to be fitted for new ski boots, and Cody truly understood my needs and experience level; he was able to intuitively make suggestions to ensure I left with the best boots and best fit for me. When the pair of boots I wanted was not available in the Keystone store, Cody retrieved them from another location and had them available for me first thing the next morning. I left with a pair of high quality, perfectly fitted boots that will last for years to come. My skiing has never been better, thanks to the time, care, and attention to detail Cody provided during my fitting. I highly recommend supporting this business, and Cody, when you are in town.

Definitely recommend Surefoot and this location. I have super skinny calves and hadn’t been able to get boots to fit until coming here. I bought custom liners and insoles and my skiing (and comfort) is now at another level. The cost is up there, but if you either have a hard to fit foot or get out there a lot, I’d recommend coming in.

Surefoot Keystone is the most rad Surefoot store in North America! Mike, Cody, Blake, Josh, and Claudio are superstars for your company and should be recognized as such! Despite the language barrier, Griffin was helpful as well. This team always ensures my feet feel great, I’m happy to be on the mountain, and I am comfortable in my everyday life.

Cody took care of me right from the start. I am a very unusual skier with extra wide feet. This makes normal ski boots from rental locations almost impossible to fit as in order for the width to increase, the length must increase also. Because of this, no stock ski boot would ever fit me. For 18 years of my life, skiing was always a struggle with incredible pain in my feet during and after even a half day at the slopes. Because of Cody's help, I was able to feel like I belonged on the mountain for the first time. Even walking in these boots felt so much better. Seconds after removing them after a full day, I immediately felt no pain or soreness. I saw these boots as an investment for my life of modest skiing trips each year and was confident in this as any Surefoot will adjust your boots throughout their lifetime to best fit your feet. I cannot express my thanks to Cody enough for making this as easy of a process as possible. In 4 hours, I was fitted, my ski's were molded extensively for my wide feet, and I was ready to go. It'll hit your pocketbook but an overall incredible experience and well worth the investment.

Here on a 3 ski day vacation and my boots were hurting me at my 5th metatarsal. Came to Surefoot asking for a simple pop at this location on each boot. They said it would cost $50 and started with their fancy foot measurement. The man then told me I needed custom footbeds that cost hundreds. I declined and asked again for just the pop. He then changed his story, saying I was fitted in the wrong boot and should be in a mondo instead of prime (wide instead of medium width). I explained that I tried that during my purchase and it was way too sloppy. He said that he wasn’t the one who fit me (no kidding since I’m not from CO) and still recommends the mondo based on the foot scan. I again asked for just the small and common modification and he agreed. During my one hour waiting, a process that should take 15 minutes, I heard the employees here telling everyone who came in that they are in the wrong boots and need new ones. It was a constant recital of the exact same script and sales pitch. It became clear that they know how to take advantage of people on vacation with pain. Okay, my boots are done and I try them on but it super sloppy now. He said, “well that’s what happens.” No, it ends up he didn’t reinstall the footbed and insisted he had. Then he charged me $100 saying it was $50 a boot not total. Frustrated, I paid and left. I then had to come back to get the insoles that I discovered indeed had been left out. Go to the next day and they definitely didn’t pop the boots much because my foot still hurt there. Once home I went back to my local shop and 15 minutes later they had it popped properly.Sorry for the long description but I want you to know exactly why I rated so low. The employees only seem to care about a sale of overpriced services done poorly. Stay away.

My girlfriend and I were recently in Keystone. She had rented ski boots that were a couple sizes too big due to the width of her toes. This resulted in fairly significant shin pain/bruises after a couple days. She went into surefoot to find what they assured her would be the perfect boots. From jump she said she has wide toes and wanted to make sure they could accommodate. They claimed they could, but what they should’ve done was told her that they did not have the custom order wide toe box boots they needed in order to provide her with a boot that would fit her properly. After going through the process, and paying the exorbitant cost up front, she ended up with a boot that was incredibly tight on her toes and had the front half of her foot numb/cold, even with the heated boot function on, after one run. After they spent all morning trying to adjust the boots, on an amazing powered day 1-28-2023, that she missed as a result of being stuck in their shop all morning and into the afternoon, they wanted her to go through the process again with a larger boot, which they had assured her upon measuring her foot she absolutely would not need. At this point it’s worth noting that the sort of map of her foot that they made didn’t include her toes or any of the front section of her foot. By this point, she had lost confidence in the process and realized all she had really done was missed out on a powder day, and been made to feel like there’s something wrong with her feet. She requested a refund and all efforts to be polite, fled from the staff. The guy who had been helping her went from nice to difficult to rude. The manager came out and was incredibly rude from the beginning. When they finally agreed to refund her, they took their time and as she was leaving the store, they yelled at her “Good luck, finding boots that fits!”Just to be super specific and clear, she left with absolutely no product. They lost nothing except some time and the molding solution that they use. Every other piece of equipment involved is currently sitting in their shop for them to sell. All of this could’ve been avoided had they just said up front, “we’re sorry we don’t have the special order wide toed boot in stock.”You might be wondering, how much does the special order wide toed boot cost? K2 boots with all of the same features minus the injected foot molding are about $1000 less. It’s hard to imagine that heat molding those wont result in so similarly good of a fit that a difference wouldn’t be felt vs the injection process that surefoot uses.In case you’re curious REI can do basically the same thing they did, but REI’s guarantee, and refund process doesn’t involve a bunch of attitude. That’s one example of several other options, just go to one of them and save yourself enough money to pay for lift tickets lodging and meals in Keystone for a couple days.

This review is purely about the staff. The quality of the services that Surefoot provides is amazing, and would rate that 5 stars. The customer service that my family and I received at this location by Josh was the worst we have ever experienced from comparable services. Very rude and hot-headed when faced with questions about the service to be provided, answering inconsistently and impatiently to get the transaction done. Should be re-educated on how to function in the industry. If you see him, ask for someone else. It will save you a big headache

I had a pair of boot heaters installed over a decade ago and one failed me while skiing at Keystone. At the end of the day I stopped by the Surefoot store and asked for advice. Mike was very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. He installed a new pair of heaters within minutes. Also gave a recommendation for a helmet. Used the heaters in -25 degrees last week at Monarch/Crested Butte and they were marvelous. Wore the helmet for the first time today and it’s warm, comfortable and stylish. Thank you Mike!!!

Surefoot Keystone is awesome, highly recommend these guys! I got some custom Surefoot liners from the Denver location and was super disappointed (severe shin and ankle pain, feet falling asleep, poor performance), and when I brought my liners back to the same location where I didn’t really get the response I’d hoped for given the guaranteed fit (they shoved some foam pads in the boot and kinda shrugged). I decided to try a different location, and I’m so glad I did. Mike and Cody did a really thorough job diagnosing what was wrong, and went the extra mile to fix it. Unfortunately we had to start over with new liners, but Cody was very thorough and paid close attention to detail. I skied my new liners and I’m stoked, this is the kind of comfort and performance I hoped for! Save yourself the trouble and make sure to come here first, they’ll make sure you leave happy.

Twice in the past 8 months the crew has saved our trip(s). My almost new boots needed some serious punching after we determined the volume was really tight in the spring of 2022. My daughter had an issue on thanksgiving week 2022 and I suggested she stop in- she was pain free and skiing the best in her life after some shimming, lifts, and massaging. This same weekend I needed some pads to cure a wicked heel slop. They stopped my pain and I was really enjoying the newfound feel and control.I may make the Rest of the season on my boots now that I can wear them at least 5 hours at a clip. After that I will have the custom fit liners from these guys as I think it’d probably the best system available for every kind of foot. I spend quite a bit to enjoy this sport to let the most important part- the boot- to any one else.

Superbly nice and knowledgeable. The custom liner / footbed solved my issues with my boots that have been plaguing me all year.
