We returned a rented truck to this location. Diego was our check in Customer Service Rep. He was very professional, answered all of our questions, and even provided information about other misc. questions about Denver. I would highly recommend this Budget Truck Rental Location and customer servic Rep. Diego in particular.

Nice people but the truck they gave me to take across the country was junk. Got rained on during my drive, needed new breaks rotors, trailer lights didn't work even after going back a second time to pick up, no air seal. Avoid these trucks, they are dangerous especially to non professional drivers.

I would like to start by saying that this review IS about my Budget rental, not the customer service I received at Taylor Rentals. Taylor Rentals is a friendly, family owned business; although, they should be held somewhat responsible for the following, my biggest complaint is with Budget. I feel the best way to detail my experience is to simply copy and paste my email to them:"Hello again, and Thank You for your prompt reply. Although I appreciate your willingness to offer a refund, I feel that you have grossly underestimated what your responsibility is for this situation. If I may repeat myself here, let's break it down from the minor (yet important) issues to the most dangerous :No AC is Arizona is no fun, that one is pretty self-explanatory.No Cruise control, which would have been handy as the steering wheel was so crooked I had to lean forward and upward to see what my speed was, at any given time. The driver door did not lock; so, when we pulled over for gas, etc - only one of us could go in at a time. One of us had to watch the truck.Filling the gas tank was a tad deceiving. Because you are filling an essentially open receptacle, when the pump clicks off, you stop filling. A gas station attendant will tell you that it is dangerous to attempt to fill after the pump has "clicked off". We discovered the shortage of gas early on our trip, we were thinking that we had filled it to the hilt, but then seeing after leaving a gas station that the gauge read less than Full. This truck was in need of maintenance or repair in many ways; not the least of which was a service for alignment providing much less "give" on the steering, ABS warning light coming on (can you imagine going over Raton pass wondering if you would be able to break properly?), Service needed light coming on halfway through our trip... the stress I had for an over 600 mile move, left me mentally and physically bankrupt. Now let's talk about the car hauler, this is without a doubt my biggest grievance. We pulled over 3 times during our trip to adjust the front passenger tire ratchet, as it was faulty. This was the least of our problems, though. It was finding out while getting to our destination that the car dolly could've come off of the hitch that was astonishing. It was at a gas stop that we serendipitously ran into a diesel mechanic for Caterpillar. He pointed out to us that the cotter pin was missing and the connecting pin was starting to come out. As is common in moves such as these, my husband followed behind as I drove the truck and car dolly. He or anyone else behind me could have been killed had that connector pin fallen out. I feel that it is a straight up miracle that nothing bad happened to us on this trip.In hindsight, there is no denying that this could have gone horribly wrong, due to negligence and improper maintenance and repairs. I am shocked and grateful that no one was hurt and I was able to get us from "A to B". Although one cannot put a price on stress, you certainly can put a price on safety. $296.52 was spent on insurance, luckily, nothing happened, that is money you pocket and I want that back. $226.00 was the cost of the car transport that hauled my beautiful Corvette. That will need to be refunded as well, since it was profoundly dangerous. $60.78 were the extra gas charges at drop-off, yet, due to the safety issue, we did not overfill, so that will need to be refunded, as well. As far as the 20% you offered on the base price of the truck portion of the rental, that $190 is appropriate. The total of the refund needs to be $773.30.In these times, social media and reviews are how businesses fail or succeed. Your response for this refund will fully determine my review. I will, of course, await your reply before doing so, as I will be fair about my comments regarding this situation.Again, thank you and I look forward to your acceptance.Heather Kingston"They gave me $190 back. It is in my opinion an insult. DO NOT USE BUDGET OR PENSKE. PLEASE!

After doing some research and knowingly taking a risk, the $500+ savings was a gamble over Penske I thought worthwhile. Sticking with Budget and visiting this location before booking to meet 4 different family members of the family-owned business won me over. Very accommodating, polite, friendly and patient, the mother, son and sister that checked me out at pickup marked down the known damage, ensured the truck had been looked over by the tech and even gave me a call to confirm availability (per my request) the night before. Budget's system is not great: they don't guarantee truck availability or sizes, so post-research I booked a few days in advanced of the busiest move weekend. The location is basic, building and technology a bit dated/on a budget, but the owners mean well and will do what they can to get you on your way safely. If I end up heading back to Colorado, I'd be happy to do business with this location again. Budget is a risk, but this is probably the best franchise for a hundred miles.

Make a reservation three weeks in advance. On day of reservation I get phone message saying that they don't have it. I called them and found they'd moved it an hour away. I tried several times with reservations and customer service only to discover that it is their policy never ever to provide anything resembling customer service. I had been trying to get a reduction in the mileage fee as I'd have to drive an additional 80 miles ($80). They said I could get it reduced when returning the truck. Sorry. That is not reassuring. CSR started to made the discount, but told me that some supervisor moved the truck and that they couldn't edit. They couldn't connect me to the supervisor, and when I asked to speak with the CSR's supervisor, was permenantly left on hold. I hung up around the half hour mark.

Second time I made a reservation online using Budget; and the date and or equipment was unavailable when I went to pickup. Wasted 2 hours and drove 40 miles to pick up truck and was told none were available. After I get a call from agent the morning of rental explaining they don't have any trucks and they send me to another location. Unreliable company and their booking system does not communicate with the actual rental locations. NEVER AGAIN will I attempt to rent from Budget,
