I called customer service @4pm, a heavy phone traffic time of day, and Alex answered after the first ring. After I recovered from what is unusual banking behavior, I asked him about their overdraft protection, it being Christmas and Birthday season in my family, and he explained they have a better, more economic program called Reserve which I was interested in, so he sent me along to that department. After holding briefly, I realized I wanted to do this another time, in person, so hung up. He called me back! I've been with Chase for years, and switched recently because I wanted a local bank without a checkered ethical past, and so accepted their offer for switching. 1st Bank is the next level of personal service, real connection and authentic concern for the best interests of customers who are challenged by money management, because of how fairly they construct their products. Also, really nice people.

I signed up for your bank because of the typical bait and switch tactic that most banks do as far as the financial compensation incentive to open an account. However, if a customer reports fraud or a scam from a company then you get this run around. The Dispute Services Team doesn't ask for evidence of the scam or even call you. Then they send you a threatening letter saying that they're closing the dispute and you owe them the provisional credit back even though they did not do their job. Prepare your legal team because lawsuits and subpoenas are fun.

I’ve been a faithful 1st Bank customer for over 20 years. I always was happy with the service and proud that unlike many other banks, 1st Bank didn’t contribute to the 2008 bank & economic collapse as they didn’t write loans that they knew that the borrowers wouldn’t be able to pay off and didn’t sell off all these bad loans to the unsuspecting investors. But despite the large account that I’ve always had for them to make money off of they have now gotten rid of their high powered change counters and made me do the work on a machine at a further location that took me probably an half hour to save 1st Bank from actually hiring workers that did this in the past. So if things don’t change I’ll find a bank were I don’t have to do the work.

Deposit was dropped at First Bank Holding Company by mistake. The Federal Reserve Board contacted the bank the deposit. First Bank Holding Company & its lawyer to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau it was going to work with me. That was a lie. The bank & its lawyer decided to lie to judges faces. The Courts uploaded everything to the internet for the world to see. First Bank Holding company & its lawyer comfortable & confidant with being dishonest.

This was a wonderful place to work. The people were kind and the office was beautiful. As a customer you can call for customer service 24 hours a day and speak to someone. There is no reason why this wonderful bank should have only 2.2 stars on Google Maps.

FirstBank chose to close my account with them during the hight of the pandemic shutdown due to it being overdrawn. This caused a great deal of hardship for me, as my stimulus payments and tax returns were set to deposit into that account. Ultimately, the stimulus payments and state return bounced off of the account and took months to retrieve, and the federal return (which had been filled through a third party tax group who received their payment through the federal return and deposited it into the account) was used to pay down this outstanding balance. This is a company that made $500m in revenues during 2020 and that I understand has received taxpayer funded bailouts in the past. This seems woefully callous and unethical to me, given the circumstances.

Unreal !!!! What a scam ! I have equity line of credit with 1st Bank for 5 years . They suddenly closed my line ofCredit they pulled my credit , they are telling me I have talk to Kennedy which is their bank manager - I never did ! I have no idea who is Kennedy . They assumed I had financial struggles And rejected my autopay and my account was 26 days late . They said there is nothing they can do about it either . Thanks God I don’t need their money but wow that is unreal to do so for their long time client . Aha and in addition I have just deposited 25k in to my line of credit and I had another 3k in checking for autopay transactions. I have called another 3 branches and they said that can not Possibly happen without my knowledge or any additional red flags on my account so I am looking in to legal actions and federal reserve is being reached in regard of this scam , discrimination and violating federal Consumer law .

This institution is incredibly disorganized and employs people without compassion who, if not lie through their teeth, do not care to be thorough in their duties.I was a customer for 21 years and due to tripled cost of living in a decade in Colorado as well as a recent bout with fate, which left me injured to such a degree that I cannot work or find work, they closed my 21 year old checking account without any notice or consideration. It has been difficult for me to survive on what I have been able to drum up and there have been occasions I went over my balance but I've never been long to get back in positive standing. That is, no thanks to first Bank with their excessive overdraft fees that were half of the reason for my being so far in debt to them. Fees that were arguably unethically removed from my account due to the misinformation and plain lies of their staff. Fees that were never once removed until 21 years after the opening of the account. Fees that 6 different people explained 6 different ways within 12 months and never made clear as they should have been made clear to decades ago.The result of which is they have taken my money that I did not have with explanations that did not make sense and then effectively banned my account and future business, stating that I simply don't have enough money to be their customer. I'm too poor with my sudden injury and subsequent unemployment to continue to use their organization, despite my substantial financial past and family's considerable considerable financial future. It is with every word of the aforementioned that I suggest that First Bank is NOT the Colorado bank for you, and I urge you to take your hard earned assets elsewhere. I'm sure there are other federally protected institutions beyond reproach that will allow you to have your humanity and retain your funds. Thank you for reading my review, and thank yourself for banking somewhere with a heart.

One of their employees was found to be grossly in error, which was proven on the recorded line, yet the upper management acknowledged this fact but did nothing to sufficiently rectify the situation. It is clear First Bank has little integrity and even less concern for customer retention. Save yourself the time and frustration of dealing with First Bank's lack of customer service, integrity and truth in lending, and bank somewhere else.

Note that this is not an actual bank and they won't help you with anything. Also, they won't even buzz you into the front desk, you will be rejected thru the intercom. Great customer service.

I opened an account 3 months ago when there was a promotion going on. All info I saw on the promotion said you had to make a $500 direct deposit or $500 of debit transactions in the first 60 days of account opening. Someone even called me after I opened my account to tell me I could get $300 just for doing a $500 direct deposit. I did the $500 direct deposit 2 weeks after the account was opened. It was estimated to take 3 months for the $300 to be put in the account. I called today and they told me I was supposed to make a $500 direct deposit for 3 consecutive months. That was never disclosed. They said it was on their website at the time I opened my account but I never saw it. The promotion ended now so I can't check. When the person from the bank called to tell me about the promotion, why wouldn't she have told me all the fine print? Seems like their just trying to get out of paying the $300. I'm closing my account ASAP.

Today called the corp office 7 times only to be hung up on 4 times, left a message the 5th time supposedly at Cathy Coulter's extension, called back 2 more times to get someone who is actually working. No one apparently. Definitely don't want an account there, who would, but they won't even tell me where they are getting the discriminating information that they are denying me business with. Hello? Hello? Hello? Does anyone work there? Thanks, BBB for not using actual customer experiences to give businesses such as this an A+.
