Hello! Please reply to this comment or reach out to me if you find a cockatiel or have one! Ours is missing! I have tried to call a few times to leave a VM with my information in case he shows up, but your voice-mail does not work. Thank you!

We found our Leeloo here. They saved her, we gave her a great life. She was a great girl.

This rescue made what could be a super stressful process, perfectly seamless. I was thrilled to find my new baby and in no time at all, I heard back and was approved. I also received all of my pets Vet records via email immediately after paying the adoption fee. The companionship of an animal is priceless. I am forever grateful for what dog rescues and fosters do to save lives. It’s not an easy job. I still keep in touch with the foster mom and will definitely adopt from this rescue in the future! Welcome home Piper!

I applied to both foster and adopt from this organization. Several days after indicating the dogs I was interested in adopting, I was contacted by a "foster coordinator" who said the first dog in the list (what about the others I was interested in?) was still getting acclimated to fostering and they would contact me when he was ready to be visited. OK (what about the other dogs I mentioned? - and now the first dog is marked "adoption pending" on the website???) Eventually they contacted me with a general email that the dog would be at an adoption event, and could I "sign up" at the provided link to set up a visit. Since I had obligations that day, I didn't sign up. They wrote me and said, sign up. I said sorry, I couldn't that day and explained why. Several days go by, and I was briefly out of town (helping a friend who had surgery). They wrote and said can you visit this dog tomorrow? I said no and explained why. That's when they became insulting, telling me if I couldn't visit the dog THE NEXT DAY because it was "inconvenient" then maybe I would mistreat the dog later on!! Unbelievable. There are many reputable rescues in this area, that will treat adopters and fosters with respect. Choose one of those.

***edited below*** We adopted our wonderful girl, Hazel at the beginning of the year. She has brought us so much love and laughter. She loves everyone, loves the vet, loves grooming, car rides, you name it! Georgia was amazing helping us adopt our best friend.3 weeks ago we adopted Hazel's new best friend. His name is Malcolm Reynolds. That name came from the captain of the ship and the TV show Firefly. (His name used to be Maple.) He and Hazel love each other. They love to play battlepoodle together in the yard. He loves toys and plays like a puppy. Even though he's 3 years old. He loves to smell everything. He and Hazel's favorite event is when someone rings the doorbell! Thank you so much for letting us adopt our two friends!

This is a truly loving and professional rescue group. They definitely vetted us with our Vet and references , and we are blessed to have been able to adopt Aster - an abused golden doodle from an Amish puppy mill. She is very sweet! We found communication to be great and their care for Aster very thorough, she is spade and fully vaccinated . Aster’s still shy but she’s coming around and we delight in seeing her just be a puppy again!

We have fostered for them for years and love working with life is better. The animals that come out of here are well cared for, loved, and absolutely ready for adoption

One of the best rescues out there. Forever grateful for them for rescuing our girl Finley. These dogs and cats being able to be fostered in a home prepares them for life with their forever family. When we are ready to add to our family again we will definitely check with life is better rescue first.
