They are selling expired items. Check everything, not to mention a camp of homeless people are constantly outside and you can't take your cart out of the store. Worst grocery store in the neighborhood

We had the deli cater lunch for a funeral reception. Everything was correct and on time! Vicki from the deli called to make sure she had everything correct the day before! Great service !

If I go grocery shopping I should be able to take the cart out to my car to unload my stuff. Having two kids with me there's no way I'm going do ever do a full grocery shop there again. I understand that they have a lot of homeless people there but not everyone should have to suffer

I remember last Thanksgiving when there was only about four carts in the WHOLE store, yeah the carts at the time were supposed to lock if you left the parking lot but it didn't always work or people would find a way around it. So there was never any carts and people complaining, now there's ALWAYS carts available and you have to bring your car around or be walked to your car but the good should outweigh the bad. You just can't please some people.

James behind the fish counter is awesome! He went above and beyond looking up the nutritional facts for my great-grandmother to settle her fish craving. This store is lucky to have him.

It's a shame that the Safeways have went down a lot. Deli there's no one over there. Barely any cashiers and you're looking for someone to help you out. They will not very rude. Nothing on the shelves. I would not shop here whatsoever. Go to King Soopers and Wheat ridge a lot. Better service

Not enough employees to operate the store. Forced to use self checkout because it was the ONLY option. I don't work there, is not my job. Couldn't take cart out of store. At the local Target the shopping carts also lock but only if you try to leave the parking lot, not just the store. Safeway clearly has the same option, they just don't careWent back the next day (we are visiting and it was close). Should have known better. A check stand was open this time so that is an improvement. My wife and I bought a few things including a six pack of beer. The guy asked for ID. OK, no problem, I showed him mine, then he asked for my wife's ID. He insisted he had to see both IDs. What? Why? It was my beer. Mind you I am 54 and balding, my wife is a few years older. What if I was there with one of our granddaughters? Does he need their ID too? They are not of age. Will he refuse the sale? This place is a joke.

TL;DR If you buy a lot at once, DO NOT SHOP HERE.Sometimes shop here after work because it's close. When shopping I usually buy at least 3 weeks of groceries. Had been in a while since visiting this particular store, but it looks like, just like some others, I was surprised I had to carry my groceries to the back of the parking lot. Multiple trips.. The carts no longer can leave the store. This made the small entryway crowded with people emptying their purchases. The cart "attendant" was blasting music on his phone and a bit rude. Probably will not shop at this store anymore. For me, it's a make-or-break topic. I don't get when I see sometimes 40% price increases on some items in the past year.. this is how they decide to treat their customers! Anti-consumer at its finest.Bottom line: the carts are there to get you to buy more than you can carry. They are not for your benefit or convenience. If you buy a lot of groceries at once, do NOT shop here.

I use to really love this store and it was always my go to store but lately its been disappointing. I take advantage of the pick up because of my health and small children and the pick up lady is usually rude and they never answer the phone especially after calling when waiting more than 10 minutes. The wait for my groceries is getting ridiculous each time. Like tonight ,I've waited 30+ minutes and nobody will answer the phone or has brought my groceries. Store doesn't even look busy. This has happened to me on more thanone occasion I think I'm to the point I rather drive the extra 15 minutes to another store with better service

Such a nasty store I know I recently had a very unpleasant experience at Safeway. As soon as I walked through the entrance, I was hit with a strong, unpleasant odor that made me want to turn around and leave immediately. It was a combination of various smells, none of them pleasant.Furthermore, the store was incredibly dirty. The floors looked like they hadn't been swept or mopped in days, with visible dirt and debris scattered all over. The shelves were dusty, and I even noticed some expired products still sitting on display. It was clear that cleanliness was not a priority for this Safeway location. The overall lack of cleanliness and the overpowering smell made it nearly impossible for me to focus on my shopping. I felt uncomfortable and disgusted throughout my entire visit. It was truly disappointing, as I have had positive experiences at other Safeway stores in the past.I hope that Safeway management takes immediate action to address these issues. Customers should not have to tolerate such unsanitary conditions and offensive odors when shopping at a grocery store. Until improvements are made, I will be avoiding this particular Safeway location.

What's the point of have a cart guy with the safety vest if he doesn't want to help. Every time I pickup groceries for my customers he just stands their looking into space. I asked him if he can unlock the cart for me and said he not allowed to do so. Even though the clerks all told me he is the one that "helps customers with groceries" This isn't the first time either.

This place is a menace to society. It has become a haven for hobo junkies. You literally can't walk into the store some days because the door is blocked by people injecting, smoking and freebasing. The parking lot is filled with people living in unregistered cars. And, instead of doing anything about the crime here they aggressively police the customers, not allowing them to use the carts because otherwise they'll get stolen by the criminals they harbor. The owners and managers of this place are criminals themselves, at this point, in their complacency.

To bad there's no option for zero stars. Safeway has always been "robber barons." They don't honor their any of their discounts! They claim you didn't download their digital coupons, even if you've clipped them. Safeway counts on you to not argue with their checker, because the line is growing behind you. Trying to get their advertised discounts is truly a humiliating experience. After calling corporate for some satisfaction, nothing further gets resolved, they just make excuses for ripping their customers off. If Safeway does this to one customer, they do it to millions and make millions from it! Save your receipts for the class action lawsuit! They can't get bought up by Krogers soon enough! Safeway SUCK!

Please note: You must carry all your purchases out to your vehicle - the carts provided are not for your convenience. I shopped here on 8-1-2023 and after filling a cart with groceries I discovered that you cannot take the cart out the door. I had multiple cases of soda (it was on sale) and had to carry them in my arms to my vehicle. I have never had this happen at a grocery store. They might as well be a convenience store since you can't purchase too many items in one trip.
