I called to get a price for a gas bottle fill. I showed up only to be told "we don't fill gas tanks anyway." What a waste of my time.

I've been a Suburban customer for almost 20 years. Apparently that means nothing to them. I have a leak in the line from the tank to my house which occurred this Fall after I filled my tank which is my responsibility. I asked Suburban to pump out the gas in the tank so I could use those proceeds to fund alternate sources of heat over the Winter until the ground thawed and I could dig up the line and repair it. After numerous phone calls over the course of 6 months they finally pumped the gas out at the end of April which of course is at the end of the heating season. They proceeded to charge me $121/hour and a $2/gallon restock fee which came to almost $2,000 so I didn't gain anything from pumping out the gas. I called to check if there was a mistake and they replied that the costs were justified and would not consider giving me any break whatsoever. Very disappointing for a long term relationship. I spoke with one of their drivers and he mentioned that management is terrible there right now and I hadn't even mentioned anything to him regarding my situation. I am cutting them loose and will be using a different source for gas.

To all who might be considering to use this joke of crooked company I'd advise you to move onto the next or ANY other propane supplier in Colorado! They'll rip you off & leave you in a jam any way they can then lie to you & not think twice about it!!!!!!!! Save yourself the head ache & move onto the next company!!!!!!!!!

The house that I purchase was being provided propane from this company. I moved in one week ago I contacted them and they said that they have never service this area or the type of home that I have. They were very rude and unprofessional. They refuse to service and they will not tell us why. Put your money somewheres else these people are total losers!

We were customers since 2001. They have horrible customer service and charge you 3 times normal rate to fill your propane tank. They charge you to pick up their own tank, even though they have gotten dozens of complaints about that. It took them over 2 months to pick up their tank. I will be billing them for storing their tank for 2 months! Find a different propane company!

I ordered 100 gallons. They didn't deliver the Thursday they were supposed to so they delived the next Thursday. They filled the tank with 275 gallons. It was 2 coices, go out and remove 175 gallons or give a good discount. They gave the discount. I have to watch my money because my home had a contract then defaulted. Now I have 2 mortgages and I am now retired. Suburban Propane did good.

My other propane company had me 7 days with no service, contacted Suburban propane and Michelle went beyond her duty to get me service, I have small kids and it was getting cold at night. They should up next day and got me propane service, Thanks we'll always remember.

Called to help a client who is out of state but the probate property is located here in Arvada. The woman I spoke with said they would not accept "this case" because they "would need to owner of the property" (whom I explained was deceased) and I asked if "a person appointed by the court would not be sufficient" and she stated "No. We need the owner of the property." Clearly they were not interested in helping an elderly person trying to manage her late sister's estate from several states away. Would NOT recommend.

This company is a joke! They are price gouging big time! Who wants to pay over $6 per gallon when other companies charge one flat rate to each of their customers!Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired too.I’m so glad I no longer am using their services!

Like SO many others selecting 1 star because it’s required to post a review. We had a special situation as the account holder passed away and the tank was empty. We received great customer service to assist with a one time fill. It was strongly recommended to fill the tank until arrangements could be made to change the account as we were going to purchase the home. After that the customer service and complete lack of communication was awful! Exactly 2 months after paying over $1200 to fill the tank they came and took the tank along with all the propane which we had paid for with absolutely NO prior communication and nothing left at the home to advise they picked up the tank knowing that our intent was to purchase the home and move in. HOW do you just come and take a tank that is full of propane and NOT advise the customer? This was also done literally 2 days before we had a Celebration of Life for the original account holder at the home and had to change our food plans for 80-90 people.The Lakewood manager stated that 2 weeks to purchase and takeover the home was reasonable not 2 months. We too happily found a new propane company (FOR HALF THE COST) and requested an immediate refund which took more than a month and was not for the full amount we paid as they stated we used 25 gal of propane from May-July in a home that NO ONE is living in! Again, trying to communicate with the Lakewood manager was a complete waste of time!

We purchased a property on which Suburban Propane had a tank for the prior owner. They were supposed to remove the tank over a month and a half ago. Despite repeated promises to remove the tank and numerous excuses as to why the tank has not been remove, the tank still sits on our property.If this is how they do business, I would never use Suburban propane. They don't do what they say they'll do but instead make excuses for why they aren't living up to their promises.

Was very disappointed with the service we have had in the past year & a half. Schedule delivery, set up, then no phone call, no delivery. 3 times in the past winter. Last fall before we left camp, we called to have our tank filled, so it would be ready for the spring, and was told NO. They were not coming to fill when we were planning on being gone. To call in the spring. So I call in the spring, and we had to wait for 3 weeks for a delivery. 1st time we had snow. No call, then 2nd, driver ran out of time, again no call. 3rd time they finally showed & we got propane. Seriously thinking of changing companies to one that actually wants happy customers
