Both Urban Motors and EchoPark had batches of the car I was looking for, and I picked Urban Motors based on the online reviews (and angsty reviews at EchoPark). The experience was very low stress. Laurence was the salesperson for me. He helped me find the OBD port in the car, and then pretty much let me alone to run the diagnostics I wanted to run and take it for a long test drive. Follow ups were friendly and without urgency or pressure. The Urban Motors inspection was consistent with the results of a pre-purchase inspection I got at a local dealership. “As someone who was shopping around for my first car after taking a break from driving for 6 years, I was really overwhelmed by the process of buying a car. I feel very lucky to have found Carboard! I purchased a 2017 Subaru Forester in May, and I have nothing but good things to say about Leno and everyone at the dealership. Test driving was easy to setup, and compared to the other Foresters I had test drove, this car drove by far the smoothest, and had the lowest mileage and price out of the ones I had been looking at. It was clearly maintained very well. After I test drove I told Leno I had a few more to check out, and he didn’t pressure me at all, just let me know they would be there for when I made my decision. It was a massive difference from the pushy agents at larger dealerships, and made me feel much more comfortable moving forward. Leno was very accommodating during the actual purchase and afterwards, even when I was having issues getting my title due to an address change (USPS’ fault, not Carboard’s lol). I’ve put 2k miles on the car this summer and already have taken it on some off-roading adventures, not a single issue has popped up. My husband who has a high mileage 2016 Subaru Crosstrek is so jealous over how well my car drives haha, I can tell I’m going to get a long life out of it. Highly recommend for an easy, low stress, and transparent experience!”

“I worked with Nico to get myself a used RAV4 and he was super helpful in finding the right fit, taking the car on a test drive, answering all the questions about the car features and how the purchase would work. I appreciate how quickly they were able to help me out, the price was very competitive, and they were very flexible on which package options I included without any pressure. I highly suggest them to anyone trying to snag a car at a reasonable price without a huge hassle.
Update [9/19/26]: I went back to buy a second car and worked with Jayden. She was very helpful, walked me through the process, gave me advice, but also let me pick the settings I wanted to. I was in one day and out with a car the next day. She gave me very good timing estimates of when to come back and sign the papers, and I super appreciated that. I wasn't pressured to include anything, beyond suggestions they had of what to include. I also received a $500 discount for being a returning customer. Regarding how it went with my previous car, I will note that I had it for about a year and a half, and I had some maintenance items that I had to get fixed, but that was due to the mileage of the car rather than something they forgot. My previous car did have an issue with the windows and locks that cost me about $500 to get fixed that I missed noticing when I bought the car.”
