The pharmacist was so rude. Was trying to fill a prescription for my grandson who was sick and they were so not helpful and rude and told me to go to another pharmacy!

Back in the summer 2023, I brought one of my prescriptions to this pharmacy and found out my insurance won't cover the cost. Although I was disappointed with my insurance, I instead decided to use pharmacy coupons like GoodRx. But they refused to give the medicine I needed because the printed coupon does not exactly match the dose of the same drug prescribed by my PCP. It was such a frustrating experience of being denied my medicine. Guess what? I took it to another pharmacy (not Walgreens obviously) the next day and the same coupon was accepted. Perhaps it's too much to ask any kind of customer service in this Walgreens pharmacy.

It seems that the afternoon pharmacy cashier is not really on top of her job. It makes it very frustrating for customers who may not be in the best health at the time, not a lot of customer service on her part.

Once an A+ pharmacy w/professional, grade A staff. Now it's unorganized. A constant influx of employees. It doesn't appear they stay long. The Pharmacist's problem when you can't retain staff. The pharmacist seems apathetic, uncaring, rarely smiles. They've closed two holiday weekends without notice when they weren't supposed to. That means closed from Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, You must wait until the fifth day to obtain script. Ones that can only be filled by this pharmacy, patients suffer, some dangerously. The second holiday weekend the excuse given was that the pharmacist had covid. I learned this was allegedly false when an employee in the general store who didn't know better said the pharmacist was traveling, camping or something else fun. I would never repeat this young man's name. He didn't know he was suppose to remain mum. These were summer holidays, Memorial Day or Labor Day, can't remember if both, or one of each. An alternate pharmacist should've been called in. Had a patient denied their meds nearly five days been ill as a result or worse, they'd be liable imo. You just can't do that when it concerns patient's health. The prior staff and pharmacist that was there prior to this new crew, were there pre 2018 I believe, perhaps 2019. I knew their names. They knew their jobs, and so polite. One in particular always said thank you after nearly every comment. I loved her. I miss them. The pharmacist was also superior. He's the store manager now, sometimes works in pharmacy. Drugs are often out of stock now and regularly. Like others said, you may wait an hour + in the drive thru, long walk in. When you're ill standing in line for 30-45 minutes is difficult if not impossible. I keep thinking it'll get better, but after more than a year now, nothing has changed. I have noticed that the drive thru line has lessened though. Perhaps due to patients relocating their pharmacy. I've spoken to the pharmacist a couple of times recently and she was more helpful. Perhaps we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, we can only pray.

The people who work in the pharmacy are always over it and it took them 2 days to get my prescription.

This is the worst and slowest pharmacy I’ve ever been too. Absolutely no reason to take 24 hours to fill one prescription for an in-stock antibiotic.

Worst pharmacy out there. Went to pick up prescription, they said “sorry it’s not going to be ready for another hour”, go back an hour and 15 min later and they say “sorry it’s going to be another 45 min.” Like are you kidding me?!I called them to complain, because the medication I’m waiting on is for my 11 month old in so much pain, the gal on the phone says “sorry I’m short staffed so if you know anyone looking for a job send them my way. I have 200 prescriptions waiting to be filled so all I can say is I’m sorry.”Are you kidding me right now? That’s exactly what she said. You do not say this to customers. End of discussion. I’m finding a new pharmacy.

I had a nice long, detailed review written up about my horrendous experiences at this pharmacy but for some strange reason, Google "can't post my review at this time" no matter how many times I try to submit it. Seems a little sus to me.But suffice it to say this pharmacy is an absolute joke. The drive through is never open. Never with any warning or ability for customers to know if or when. And you can't even call ahead to ask because they NEVER pick up the phone. And if you happen to have half the day to stand around waiting for your script....literally half the time they're out. And you can't find out until you've wasted half your day standing in line bc you can't call ahead and you better not dare try to ask any questions before it your turn. And the pharmacist? What an unprofessional nightmare. At least the one that I dealt with that refused to sell me the syringes I ALWAYS buy at this location bc she accused me of using them for nefarious reasons. Nvm the fact that I was literally filling my injectable medicine at the same time ???. Oh yea and for good measure....I had my prescribing Dr. call in the verify everything I said and she accused HIM of nefarious agendas. This was probably at least 6 months ago maybe longer. I don't want to get the wrong person in trouble. All this to say.....I ould tell stories for days about the horrendously unprofessional, rude, and downright chaotic operation of this joint. Oh wait! I tried to....but Google won't let me post it. And I know it's not for content reasons bc they tell you when it is. I already pulled all my scripts and advise anyone reading this to do the same. I can't believe they still have customers after running it like this for the last year or however long it's been since this death spiral began. Speaking of....I've been using this location for years, and have never had a single issue until the last year or so. Idk what the deal is but I'd venture to guess that someone very specific running the show is to blame. The Frontline workers are just stuck working in this nightmare circus they've been handed.Btw....this isn't a reflection on the store itself. They continue to be as great as ever.

This review applies to the pharmacy only. I’ve never had an employee be rude to me but I can tell by the look on some of their faces, that they seem to be extremely stressed out, unhappy and overworked. I’ve been using this particular pharmacy for over 3 years and over the last several months something big is changed. It’s next to impossible to get someone to answer the phone . It takes frequently 3 to 4 days to refill common prescriptions if not longer. Particular medications that cannot be filled a day or 2 early means that you are likely going to be completely without them for a few days at least which can be dangerous. Also Very often the pharmacy abruptly closes during their normal business hours. I’m not meaning during their normal lunch hours. As I understand it this is due to staffing issues among many of our Lakewood/ Denver area Walgreens so they are shifting current employees from store to store. Unless the working conditions for the company in general have degraded to a point where no one wants to really work there , I can’t imagine why they are so bad for such a long time now.

If I had the option to leave, no stars, I would for the pharmacy department. The pharmacist had no care for my needs didn’t even know what she was doing she worked the drive-through. She was chunking with bigs eyes that rolled all over the place very rude and unprofessional. Thanks thanks for no help. I’m so glad I didn’t spend any money there.

I'm in the process of moving all my Rxs to another pharmacy. They are extremely understaffed, completely unsustainable. Plan for a 1-2 hour wait to pickup a prescription in most cases. Just waited on the phone for over 2 hours to just be hung up on when I was next in line.

This location is great. The pharmacy staff is very helpful despite being short staffed and overwhelmed. Never have a bad experience here at the pharmacy. I love this Walgreens branch!!
