Pretty good experience from the buying side. I have found a couple of items here but you really have to dig. I have only been to one other location to compare this one to but this one felt crowded with lots of items and bargain bins. They also accept Amazon branded items and no label items. Another point of feedback I’ll provide is that a lot of the shoes are quite worn and not priced accordingly.
From the sell side, I brought in several items. They did take a good amount of them. I would say 70% of the things I brought in - and offered me $45 in total. One of the pairs of shoes I brought in was a $90 pair of Nike Dunks that hadn’t been worn but once. As long as you go in knowing you’re going to lose money on selling, that’s fine.
For luxury items (sell or buy) look at Kit’s in Greenwood Village.

If you’re a person of color, don’t expect to be treated kindly at this location. I was appalled at how poorly I was treated by staff and will no longer be spending any money here. I truly hope other POC have a better experience.

What a wonderful surprise to visit this store. I didn’t realize what a vast selection of clothing they had! EVERYONE was so helpful and friendly including the owner, Mitra 💕, and another sweet fellow. I will happily return again. And I just found out they sell online!! I came out with so many cute things at VERY reasonable prices.

They told me my Louis Vuitton was not authentic because my dust bag didn’t have a TM next to the brand name. I’ve never seen a dust bag like that. None of my other LV dust bags have that TM. I told them this specific bag was a gift and I wasn’t sure if it was authentic or not (which was clearly a mistake). Anyway good luck selling your bags here

I wouldn’t sell to Clothes Mentor again after a pretty disappointing experience. I brought in two bags of gently used clothes, shoes, and bags—mostly from prestige brands, with original prices ranging from $70 to $300. They bought about 10 items and offered me around $50. I accepted without thinking much, but when I looked at what they didn’t take, I realized they had picked out all the high-priced stuff and still only paid me a around 5% of the original value.
They also marked random “imperfections” on some items—like wrinkles on shoes. I mean, if a pair of shoes was worn even once, of course there’d be some creasing. For some clothes they returned, I honestly couldn’t even spot any flaws near the stickers.
I didn’t want to argue, so I took the rest to the nearby Plato’s Closet (fyi, they only take teenagers’ styles and active wear and I’m a young adult and most of my clothes are pretty on-trend/teen style). They accepted everything except a long dress and gave me about $100! When I came back a few weeks later to sell more to Plato’s, I noticed that most of my items were already gone—super fast turnover!
To be fair, my first experience at Clothes Mentor wasn’t bad—they paid around 10% of the original price, which I thought was a fair price - left them with some profit margin and not like stealing from me. But based on the big sales emails I’ve been getting lately, it seems like they’re dealing with major overstock. That might explain why the payouts feel so low now. Until they’re offering fairer prices again, I’ll be taking my stuff elsewhere.

My sister and I called before hand to make sure we could bring clothes to sell, they didn't think to mention oh by the way we only take reusable bags, okay cool guess we'll drive all the way to Marshalls and buy bags. so we do, we come back, oh sorry we can only take one bag that size. oh well can we just do them separate then? um well do you live together? 😑 no. okay then we put down our addresses, phone numbers, emails. have to wait 24 hours. finally it's ready we go in. oh sorry we actually didn't want anything we're being very selective. Don't waste your time. unless you have all the time in the world to waste on this place.

Note - if trying to sell clothes, you need to bring clothes in a tote bag without hangers. @ClothesMentor you should put this information on your website so people don't drive there and waste their time.

I came in referred to by Plato’s to sell clothes. I was essentially immediately turned away because my clothes were “piling” or “wrinkled” even though some of the clothes in question were new with tags. They literally handed clothes to me as I set them down! They also said it would take a couple of days to process any items. It was explained to me that they expect clothes to be freshly laundered and wrinkle free- for a thrift store this is a bit extra given people generally sell clothes that are clean but haven’t been worn in a while so they will be slightly wrinkled from storage. I was excited about this store but will not be returning due to the customer service.
I also don’t give negative reviews often and am really bummed by this store. Would give 0.

Love the opportunity to 'shop' this location online! It has become one of my 'Go To' Clothes Mentor locations when looking online outside my metro area. Always a nice selection; very quick response & shipping of orders. Items received today from a recent order were exactly what I was looking for & great additions to my wardrobe! 🩷😊
