I walked into Madewell for the very first time after being completely let down at Abercrombie (another store I’d never shopped at before). Having recently lost a significant amount of weight, I was already feeling overwhelmed by the idea of shopping for jeans. When I saw Madewell’s huge selection, my first instinct was to turn around and leave.
Then Cordelia appeared, almost like she’d stepped out of a magical realm, and everything changed. I was skeptical about working with a salesperson, expecting the usual push to buy every single thing suggested. But Cordelia was incredibly warm, kind, and extremely professional. She was patient when I was on the verge of tears, and she gave me honest, thoughtful feedback about what worked and what didn’t.
Most importantly, she helped me find four pairs of jeans that I truly feel amazing in. As an extreme introvert, I don’t usually connect with salespeople, but by the end of our session, I honestly wanted to be best friends with her. She completely turned my night around.
Thanks to Cordelia, I am officially a Madewell customer for life. She made what could have been a stressful, discouraging experience into something uplifting and unforgettable. She's a treasure to the retail industry.

I went to Madewell last weekend looking for some new denim. I didn’t have anything particular in mind, and was a little overwhelmed by all of the options. Ashley was super helpful! She not only helped me with finding different styles and the right sizes, but also gave honest feedback on which cuts looked best on me. She was so sweet and made the experience fun! Additionally, I needed a tall inseam in the jeans I wanted, so she helped with ordering them online since they weren’t in stock at the store. The customer service was amazing, and the store was organized and welcoming. Will absolutely be back to this location!

This place……! Just ….. yes. You simply DON’T get service like this in 2024. Greeted the second I walked in, immaculate store front, I was helped in the dressing room and even an employee - Lexi - suggested pieces I would like. She was right, I did. YES. YES!

People working here are not helpful. I
Even with my arms full of clothes, they never offer start a dressing room or any assistance. They do not greet me or check on me. I get my own dressing room. Not sure if it’s because I’m Mexican but the way they ignore me but greet and help other white women is interesting. I spend lots of money at madewell and like shopping in person but hopefully I won’t ever have to return to this location.

First-time customer here! I ordered jeans online and wasn’t sure about the fit. I called and a manager, Lexi, encouraged me to come in. I met her a few days later and she was so helpful. She remembered our conversation. She must have grabbed a dozen pair for me and helped explain the fit and details of each pair. I left excited to wear the three pair I purchased and really thankful for her help! Thanks, Lexi!

The team at Madewell made my first shopping experience with them fantastic. They were so helpful, the store was organized, clean and easy to navigate. 10/10 would shop at this location again. Thanks for helping me find a great pair of jeans! :)

I came here recently to buy a couple pairs of sandals and in the 20 minutes I spent in the store trying on shoes and looking at clothes, not 1 of the 4 associates working asked if I needed help. AND to top it off, they all had to walk directly pass me to get to the back door to the stockroom. Just disappointing..

I went in today to get some items and everyone was so helpful and nice! Even though they were very busy they took the time to get the items I needed and all the workers were so kind!! This is a great store and I will 100% be returning to shop again!

Walked into the store look for a tee and I have been wanting the leather jacket for a bit so I though I would try on. NOT one employee asked to assist me. NO other customers were in the store and there were 3 employees working. Not a single employee asked if I needed help or even said hello….wow. Horrible customer service I will never return or buy from madewell again.

I asked an employee where a specific shirt was, she pointed at it and then proceeded to say “Just so you know we have limited sizes so you may want to shop online” I’m an XL they had other things in the store that were XL so I knew they had some with and some not, I would have looked through the rack and saw they didn’t have it and would have left but the comment was rude enough to make me not even look and just walk out.

I had never shopped in your store until last night. My daughter had been looking for the perfect jeans for weeks. We were about to give up and decided to walk into your store. Skylar was amazing!! She helped my daughter find the perfect jeans. She was patient and attentive. This will be our “go to” store for now on for jeans. I hope her supervisor sees this and gives her a raise!! I’m telling everyone about our great experience with Jean stylist Skylar!
