This Orvis store and location is the best there is hands down! Justin the manager assisted me today with the purchasing of different gear for trout, smallmouth bass, and largemouth bass. He went above and beyond to teach me and share all kinds of amazing information with me. He is as an absolute wealth of knowledge. Thanks for everything brother! I hope your immediate supervisor sees this specific review and rewards you appropriately and I hope corporate sees this as well. You deserve it! Stop in today and Justin will take great care of you! Pretty bummed to write this review. Bought the Orvis pro zipper waders and Orvis pro boa boots back in June of 22’ for what felt like a fortune. I was under the impression I was getting top of the line gear so I was fine with the price tag.
I take very good care of my gear; wader are always hung up and boot are fan dried in my garage. Full disclosure, I haven’t had any issues with the waders besides some fraying at stitch points. Not a big deal.
The boots, however, have not faired as well. First, the soles have started to delaminate all around the boot (this started a year ago but nothing that interfered with performance). Then, on my last trip out, the heel started to separate from the foam and has created a hole for dirt and sand to get into. See photos.
The boots are 2.5 years old and already almost unusable due to the dirt/sand/debris. I paid $298 for them.
I called ahead and explained to the people what I was dealing with. The lady on the phone told me “bring them in and we will be happy to swap them out for you.” This is supposed to be the reason you spend the money with Orvis.
Next day, I left work early to take care of this. I showed up to the shop and explained the issues I was having to a new employee. Less than 3 years old and probably around 100 days on the water. The manager who gave the situation maybe half of his attention said “I can do 75 off a new pair”. I don’t really want to spend more money but figured 75% off a new pair was at least reasonable. But due to a lack of attention given to the situation, had to clarify he meant $75 off, not the 75% that myself and the new employee both thought was originally meant.
So $225 was the deal for a new pair of boots that won’t last 3 seasons.
Now here’s what I have to ask Orvis: Why would I spend $300 on wading boots that only last 2 and a half years??? I thought the reason we are supposed to choose Orvis is their ability to stand by their stuff. I’m almost positive this is a factory defect due to friends with the same boots not having the same problems.
For reference, I have Patagonia felt bottoms that are +12 years old with LESS WEAR than my Orvis pros. Photos also attached for the comparison.
Very disappointing day considering how much I’ve given (and my family has given) this company.
Do yourself a favor and get the Patagonia’s. That’s going to be my next move after looking at this stupid $75 OFF coupon.
And no, I’m not a “regular returner”. This is the first instance I’ve actually had to bring in a product for warranty. And man, was it disappointing.
Don’t buy their junk boots and know they might not stand by their other offerings either.

Great store and great staff. They seemed as excited as I was about this new superfine graphite paired with the CFO. What a fantastic small water setup! This is my new favorite rod and reel. I do wish the store had more extended hours, but I appreciate that they can maintain such a professional staff.

I've been a loyal Orvis Customer for over 30 years! Their rods have an unconditional 25 year warranty! I wouldn't buy fly fishing equipment from anyone else!

Dave was super helpful! You can immediately tell he loves interacting with customers and he has a ton of knowledge about all Orvis has to offer. He answered all of our questions and was extremely patient while trying on multiple jackets.

The person who helped me was belittling, and basically called me a liar(twice). Orvis' website says they 100% warranty every product they sell.
My first question was, is this a corporate store. The fella said it was. He told me my pack was over 9yrs old. That pack wasn't even out 9yrs. He said I bought it on clearance somewhere. Ouch... I'm sad he's the face of Orvis at this location. He's offending and had no premise to call me a liar. I mean, does it even matter when I paid $340ish for a fishing pack?

What kind of retail store has hours of 11 to 6?? The mall hours open at10am. These are worse than bank hours! Do you not want to make sales? Must be due to lack of sales and they are cutting back. Only matter of time before this Orvis goes under!

Amazing customer service! We had an online order than we wanted to exchange for something in store. Then we changed our mind about the second item. The staff was super helpful with our returns and helping us order exactly what we wanted. While we were in store shopping, the staff helped with all of our questions. Every person working there was nice and knowledgeable. They were also happy we brought our furry friend.

Sales people were very nice but you had ZERO women's upland gear in store. So tired of places not supplying gear for women and if so, expecting us to order it all online.

Stopped in to return an online order. Everyone in the store was very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the wide selection of clothing including the bigger sizes. In other retail stores I have visited recently, the selection is limited and most of the larger sizes are sold out. Shout out to Dave who asked if I needed any help and also rang up our order. They were also giving some fly fishing classes while we were at the store. Great experience and love the quality. Will be back again.
