If you want clarity around how much you'll pay for services, I recommend you go somewhere else and avoid the hell I just experienced. It turned out to be a fantastic waste of time and high level of frustration trying to talk with the billing department, getting CPT codes from the provider, and getting actual clarity and help from the Estimates department. Hours were spent on hold or days were spent waiting for callbacks, only to find I kept having to go back to the provider for clarity around the CPT codes because that's not what the estimation department is able to do. Going back and forth - including waiting forever on hold, being directed to the wrong department, being transferred to the right department (which was the same dang number I called in the first place) was extremely frustrating! I wasted so much time and had an awful experience.

I just drove a half hour to go to my appt to be told they didn’t have approval from my insurance and that I would be billed out of pocket. My insurance may end up covering but if not I’d be billed and they couldn’t tell me how much for. The lady at the desk was so grumpy, distracted, and unhelpful. I just canceled it. Total waste of time and gas. Worst part was the desk lady’s attitude.

UC Health adds a Facility fee that is not covered by insurance so the cost of seeing a physical therapist at this location is more expensive than if you were to see a therapist not located in a UC Health facility. You pay your standard co pay at the time of service and then are billed the Facility charge after the service. The Facility charge is a standard charge however UC Health does not notify patients of this charge at the time of service.

The staff is competent. This review pertains to how long it takes to get an appointment. I was told (somewhat matter of factly) that the earliest I could see a therapist, was nine weeks. NINE WEEKS!! This location needs to either expand, or hire more staff.

Dr. Bravman and his staff are knowledgeable, personable and thorough....just what I like in my doctor's! Their specialization is shoulders, so if it can be fixed, they will do it!

If I could give zero or negative stars I would. I have tennis elbow and went to UC Health. The "physical therapist," had me fill out a form, mashed around on my arm and said, "Yep," you've got tennis elbow alright. Stretch your arm several times a day and wear this armband at night." And for that I was billed $955.09. There was no physical therapy performed. I have since gone to Proactive PT in Lone Tree and have received excellent physical therapy, my arm is much better, and their charges are very reasonable. Be very wary of UC Health.
