I have pursued two projects with 3model. The first was a repair job to correct a previous contractor's badly installed basement egress window. The second was a major addition to an existing house, including upgraded power/HVAC, additional bedrooms/bathrooms, and a new crawlspace beneath. In all cases, Adrian was professional and extremely thorough, giving me all the context he could think of whenever I was called upon to make a decision. They're not the cheapest in town, but take it from hard experience: when you have a project big enough to need a general contractor, you don't want the cheapest in town; you want someone who'll get it done *well*, and 3model is exactly that.

Adrian at 3model did an amazing job repairing a malfunctioning gutter and repairing some subsequent water damage. He really helped me come up with a cost-effective solution that works great. He was very professional and I will be calling him in the future with other projects. Highly recommend! 10/10

Always professional, attention to detail is above and beyond! Excellent communication and quality of materials used is superb.The next time we need to do some more renovating, we will certainly be using them again!

We used Adrian and his team for a full bathroom, bedroom, and closet remodel. Overall, the project from initial discussions to project wrap took about a year, with the actual remodeling work taking about five months (and we appreciated him staying late to meet deadlines before the holidays). Adrian's expertise and consultative approach throughout the process was very helpful, as this was our first remodel of this scale. We're very happy with the final product of the work: there is a high attention to detail in both the structural and finishing components of all of the work. The project ended up costing much more than initially estimated, due to our own changes to the scope of the project, changes in material cost, and misunderstanding about what was / wasn't included in the scope. Generally, we were able to resolve these issues quickly and Adrian was accommodating about misunderstandings. Adrian also works very well with subcontractors and members of his crew. A remodel of this scale can feel invasive, and Adrian not only brought his own competent and trustworthy people, but we also felt that the subcontractors we used, with his guidance, did very high quality work. He also worked around us working remotely (letting us know about noisy days, respecting times we were in meetings, etc).

Extremely frustrating experience working with Adrian. We would echo the previous negative review. Spent 4 months trying to get a master bath partial remodel and kitchen window going. Inconsistency in answers to our questions and the nature of our projects had risen to a level that we no longer trusted that we aren’t going to end up with a project that was in our budget. For example, he have given us 4 different answers to whether or not we can buy some of our own materials to help with cost. When we first met, he said that was no problem and we would just mark on the selection sheet which items we were purchasing, understanding that this would “void” the warranty on those items. Next, we were told that he no longer allowed that because he was having a bad experience with another customer. Then, when viewing the kitchen project, he suggested we buy our own tile to help with cost. Last, when we asked him to clarify that, we again got a very vague answer and still do not feel certain whether we can or cannot purchase items. Also, the constant flux in the scope and how complicated has become extremely frustrating. From stating our kitchen would be an “easy one-day project” to a constantly increasing estimate as time goes on despite no change in the project and no further visit to the house, to stating the electrical quote for the bathroom was $6k more that was actually estimated (which we only found out when we challenged this price and finally got a copy of the estimate for the bathroom, none for the kitchen was provided in print, which is not ok). We finally threw in the towel because our project is as clear as mud with him. I don’t understand the purpose of his 3-estimate process when he changes his mind on a whim and can’t recall previous conversations. Our project could have been $20k or $80k and there would be no way to find out until it was done. He tried to pawn off our frustrations on our previous experience with our builder. However, none of these issues relate at all. Also, weeks would go by without hearing anything until we would ask the status, at which point no progress had been made. We were beyond patient. He needs an assistant to help keep his projects in line and moving along. But hey, he was nice enough to inform us of how much of our non-refundable deposit we wouldn’t be getting back. No apology, no attempt to reconcile, just an “I’m good with that” and here’s how much of your money I’m going to keep anyway. Hardly professional. We finished our entire basement with a different contractor in a seamless/painless 3.5 months, start to finish, including design time, permit process, materials procurement, building and finishing, and inspection. 4.5 months in to this I have a design and absolutely no idea how much it could end up costing me or any sort of project timeline last, other than we are probably still 8 months out from starting. Hoping to save someone else the same headache.

He involved me in the choices that needed to be made, provided updates as the work progressed, and explained all the completed work in detail which made me very comfortable and confident. I contacted Adrian to help me with questions about possible renovations for a home I was under contract to buy. He was professional, responsive and extremely knowledge about local city and county codes. While I didn’t end up purchasing this home because of issues with the agreement made between the city and the urban development, I plan to use Adrian in the future!

I don't know if this guy is still in business, but he really misunderstood the project we discussed. Over 20 pages of a contract, but ZERO customer service. I was happy that he only kept my deposit and after a very lengthy email that expressed my position (he remembered nothing of our verbal discussion / described additional engineering that wasn't necessary because he forgot how many uprights were involved in the project / said he would be using wood uprights when I specifically stated they must be steel fabricated in Longmont). Two years later and I'm still upset !!!

My wife and I have known Adrian since 2001, when he did work on our grounds. A few years later he built us a beautiful deck.on the west side of our house. A couple of weeks ago he replaced, free of charge, defective paint on guardrails, although the company that was supposed to guarantee it had gone out of business..
Everything he has done for us has been of the highest quality in every respect. He is rightfully proud of his work, and we take pride in showing it to our friends. They all comment on how elegant and sturdy it is. We feel very luckY to know somebody works so consistently to such high standards..

From the first time we contacted Adrian, he has always provided us with estimated time lines that he kept to. We are extremely happy with his extensive knowledge of woods and all other building materials to be used in the job. We both feel he is a master of all kinds of construction, both designing and execution. All aspects of the financial side are professionally done. We are totally satisfied with both decks. Adrian’s creative suggestions are excellent. Also, he is a great communicator.
