Terrible- don't even waste your time. Agent was rude and has no business in a customer facing job. Had a reservation and called earlier in the day to confirm. Got to the location and was told no cars, should have called and confirmed locally (which I tried, but no one picked up the phone). DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

This is the 2nd time we've rented either a car or moving Budget truck and this is the only Budget location near me. The first time the suv we rented had something wrong with it so we were put in another vehicle. I just went to get the moving truck and not only was my reservation at 10am and the truck just got there at 11:40, but some sensor was bad so she wouldn't release the truck to me. She offered a cargo van that was smaller and I'd still have to pay the same price. She wouldn't upgrade the truck either. It didn't seem like she cared that much and I never received a call at all informing me that the truck wasn't in working condition nor did I receive a call that it wasn't there at 10am. I saw several other trucks on the lot and yet all she could offer was a downgraded van. I wont be renting from Budget if this is the only location available.

Rented me a car on the phone and charged my card in full. When I get a ride there, I find out they have ZERO cars to give me! Who covers my Uber cost? I wasted 2 hours dealing with this. Tried to call two separate customer service numbers about this and the first one went blank after being on hold a long time. Second time, they sent me to corporate customer service and they were too good to help me out. NEVER AGAIN

Gave us a faulty truck, refused to properly fix it, and refused to help when we needed to find a replacement truck. Absolutely uprooted our weekend we needed to move during, and were apathetic the whole time

This place is awful. Do not go here. It is dirty and the people are scary, and seem like they are on drugs. I'd give the gal with the terrible attitude negative stars if I could. She Denied me a rental after a I made a reservation online with the worst attitude. I am completely shocked at my experience. I had to pay for an Uber both ways for nothing. 35 dollars Go anywhere else. Run!!!!!!!! Enterprise is right around the corner.

I want to say up front that this is not a rant against Budget in general. For 20 years, I had a job where I traveled a lot. I often rented from Budget and it was fine. My argument is with the Budget location on Collyer St. in Longmont, CO. I rented a van for a driving vacation with my family. When I gave the attendant a copy of my reservation, he told me that the car they had reserved for me was "locked" in the system and he couldn't give it to me. He told me that he would get me another one, but that he would have to "clean it out first" (this becomes relevant later). The van that he brought to me (about 10 minutes later) was unwashed, the insides of the windows had handprints, and the carpet was not any too clean. I didn't care; I was in a hurry to get home and load up the van. I took photographs of the outside, to document any damage, but I didn't think to photograph the inside. He made note of the dings that the van had already incurred. When I got home, I went through all of the cubbies in the van and found a wedding invitation, the rental agreements for some past renters in the glove box and a little bit of other trash, nothing major. The van performed just fine over the course of our 1500+ mile trip. When I got home, I looked the van over and it was not in any worse condition than when I got it, with the exception of the carpet. There was a lot of junk on the carpet. We had just driven well over a thousand miles with 3 adults and 2 kids in the van, snacking all the way. I would have been embarrassed to return it in that shape, so I got out my vacuum cleaner and spent half an hour cleaning it up. When my daughter and I returned the van, the same attendant was on duty. When he went out to look at the van, he said that they would have to charge me $50 for cleaning, because I had returned the van is such terrible shape. When I asked him what was wrong with it, he said that the carpet was dirty. He pointed to a single white hair on the carpet as evidence that there had been pets in the car. The only animal that had been in the car was a rattlesnake stuffy that my granddaughter purchased in Wyoming, but there was indeed a hair on the carpet. He also pulled up the floor mats to point out crumbs. I confess at 10pm, I did not pull up all the floormats to vacuum under them. In 40 years of renting cars, I have never been asked to clean a car before returning it. Never. Not once. I asked if this was Budget's policy now and he said that on my rental agreement they had rubber-stamped a paragraph that said that if the car was returned in an excessively dirty condition, they could charge up to $450 to clean it. I don't have a copy of that, because of course a rubber stamp doesn't go through onto a carbon copy. However, I am sure I initialed it, because I had no intention of returning it "excessively dirty". Me: "You consider this 'excessively dirty'?" Him: "Yeah, it's pretty bad." Me: "But it was dirty when I got it." Him: "No it wasn't. We haven't sent out any dirty cars in months." (Yes, he actually said that.) "If it had been dirty, I would have made a note of that when we walked around it." Fuming, my daughter and I took the car to a car wash and vacuumed the carpet again, every single crumb. It took us 5 minutes. That tells you how filthy it was. When we brought it back, he decided that it was clean to his standards and released me from the rental. On both occasions, through every moment of my interaction with him, he was rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. Although I have his name, I will not use it, because I don't believe in outing people on social media. I would share it with his management if they were interested. (They also handle the Avis rentals in town.)

The truck was dirty inside and out. Papers and pop cans from previous customer left inside cab.No windshield fluid or it just didn’t work. Great rental price but pretty bad trucks and owner didn’t seem to care.

The manager at the boulder Colorado store is a joke I'll never do business with them again. I ended up having to go to budget in Longmont Colorado they were pleasant and easy to work with.

This is a review for Avis, which is run by the same people in the same building. I rented a car for a day and everything went well. Received the car with 400 miles in the gas tank and returned it with 405 miles Returned the car beyond the F line and still was charged a refueling fee, which was not mentioned to me when I left. I'm annoyed. They won't pick up their phones, so I had to speak to the national customer service billing to resolve the issue. This is super shady and i highly recommend not doing business with them.

Before even going to pick up the truck tomorrow morning, I have already had the worst customer service experience I remember ever having. They don't answer their phone and when I finally made the 45-minute drive to speak to them in person, they were hanging out talking instead of manning the phones or acknowledging me at all. When the guy finally decided to speak to me, he was sarcastic, condescending and he spent more time rolling his eyes at me than actually answering questions. Unfortunately, it's too late for me to change my reservation but I will never use Budget again, especially the Longmont location.
