This review has to do with the curbside pick up service and the responsiveness of the store manager, Brett Peterson. I left him a message to call me back so I could explain to him my experience and give him an opportunity to remedy it. However, as he's not called me back, I will post it here and hopefully the exposure will encourage them to do better moving forward. On 09/06, on the way home from our weekly Whole Foods trip (about 11:30 am), my husband asks why we shop there and pay the premium. I explained you get what you pay for, but he got me thinking. We forgot a couple of items so I decided to give this place a try since it's right down the street. I am mobility impaired so, without my husband with me to help, I elected to use the curbside pickup service. At 12:54 pm I placed order 1232496802291509301 for 6:30-7:00 pm curb side pickup. At 1:15 pm, I went to add an item and the web site said that was only possible by calling cust svc (800.576.4377). I called but they could not add the item b/c they called the store and could not reach them. ALSO, they could not cancel the item b/c - again - they could not reach the store. I escalated to a supervisor. She gets through to the store and gets the item added. She gave me Case #59980962 in case there were any issues. This was after me spending 46 MINUTES ON THE PHONE.At 6:50 PM, I arrive to p/u the order and am told by the, "dep't mgr on duty", they did not and can not and will not add the item. I explained the history and provided the case # and no cares. Can not/will not. No apology. I cancel order. She shrugs.I called the store the morning of 09/07 and asked who the general manager and was told it was Brett Peterson. He wasn't in so I left a message with my phone number and asked for a call back. When I didn't hear back, I called again on 09/12 and was told - again - Brett wasn't in and that he'd be in the following day but it would be his first day back from vacation. Never heard a peep. So, like I said, I didn't want to address this through a Yelp post, but based on my four attempts to communicate with them, this King Soopers didn't seem concerned at all with handling it via normal, professional means.

Went to the bakery and bought some creme horns. Started to eat one and realized that they filled the horn with vanilla frosting. It was disgusting!!!I don't know who makes the final decision on how to make bakery but this isn't the first time we tried some thing from the bakery. We tried chocolaty crossiants and threw them away. They were filled with frosting as well not chocolate chips. Disgusting as well!!

For physical reason, I prefer to use pickup. This is the store where I purchase most of the food we eat. They pride themselves on choosing good produce for you, and they do. I've never been disappointed in the quality of the produce. The staff is friendly and helpful. Only once was the pickup queue so long that I had no spot to park. But I bought a three pound package of store-packed ground chuck, and weighed out three pounds into 1 lb ziplock bags for flat freezing. The third pound came out 12.5 ounces. So it was nearly four ounces short of three pounds. That's almost criminal. Then there's the unavailability of things. You really don't have any fresh heads of garlic, on a Thursday morning? And while when they say "low stock" I can expect a substitution, but when I order at 11pm, and pick up at 7am, I don't expect substitutions in things they *didn't* say were low stock. What, someone came in at 1am and bought a whole car full of chicken thighs? I can only expect that the supply chain is pretty braindead.Other than that, the app works pretty smoothly, except when I made the mistake of buying gas at a KS far from home, and it magically defaulted my pickup store to that one. That made for some confusion and phone calls, the next time I made a pickup order.

Items are rearranged consistently, are out of stock or no longer carried. WU needs training on good customer service.

My issue is with the Pharmacy Dept. I am unable to pick up prescriptionsso I tried Delivery. Guess what. Two days I have been watching the doorand windows from 2 o'clock to six o'clock. First that is a godawful windowwhen waiting for blood pressure medicine. Day one: no delivery at all.Day two: no delivery at all. Prescriptions paid for and delivery fee too.Calls to pharmacists were not concerned that I missed my blood pressurepills. Only blamed me. It's my fault. I can't get to the door in time or evenhear the knock as an older person. So I placed a clean basket at the doorinforming the pharmacy staff to place the small RX bag into it. They agreed. Then they insisted that I KNEW the delivery company, which they think isScript Drop (Drop?) needed a signature. This practice kept my meds from metwo days in a row. All other stores, UPS, FEDEX, Walmart, Amazon, etc. have no problem with no contact delivery, no signature needed. My RX Plan is investigating. They are sympathetic to withholding medsfrom a senior citizen. I was never told about a delivery company or howthey would deliver. Maybe salaries are low and employees are overworked.I get it. This is a matter of stonewalling a señior citizen long time customer. When I made a followup call to a Pharmacy Manager, he listened andwas checking it out and would call back. He at least sought a solution. When I followed up with a phone call, the pharmacy put me on hold. I had had IT. THIS WAS BIGGER THAN just mistakes. First call: Customer Service, King Soopers Home Office. No help. Surprise.Second call: My RX PLAN. Finally! Not happy agents took voluminous notes, sorry I was going through this, gave me a case number. Said they wouldcall the store in the A.M. Dont mess with Medicare, is my advice to this delivery co.:DROP OFFTHE SCRIPT! Same advice to the Pharmacy Dept. This particular store crew does notknow that their vocation is a vital service to sick people, old people, very sick people, sick children. They work by rote; they repeat thestonewalling script to the customer instead of referring to the manager. They cannot tell the delivery company what to do, they say. Uh huh. Well someone did. As I am writing this, and given up, a knock on thedoor, not loud but a knock. EIGHT O CLOCK ON THE SECOND DAY a person was holding my bag of RXs. Thank you. I grab it, shut thedoor as i see he is holding a cell phone for my signature. It was not no contact. . I said I am not signing because I dont have to.

Such a pathetic excuse for a grocery store. I've been writing their corporate office for years about their pitiful produce department and inability to stock kitchen basics. I've never received anything back from corporate except a few coupons in the mail. Apparently they don't care. So now with two recent spoiled dairy products (despite good expiration dates) I'm done! I have an idea..... maybe all those 'managers' who stand in front of the isles by the end caps, who do whatever it is they do..... could actually work!!!Do NOT patronize this store unless you have the time to take back the rotten produce once you cut into it, and return the spoiled dairy items. You will be doing this on a regular basis. Horrible store.

Do not buy more than you can carry to your car. The prices are decent and the store is pretty clean but the cart will stop in the doorway on your way out and it is INCREDIBLY INCONVENIENT.

Use the Walgreens Pharmacy. This King Sooper's pharmacy is terrible. Last prescription was filled hours after they said it would be. Most recent attempt to get a prescription through them (for something fairly common) was ordered by doctor before noon and wouldn't be filled until 4 pm the next day. When I called to find out if there was a way to get it sooner, they answered the phone with "we are getting ready to close for lunch, you will have to call back later". Had my doctor order it through Walgreens instead; ready in two hours.

Never ceases to amaze me what used to be called service deli has transformed to lack if service deli. While two managers chatted at the front two people manned the whole service deli. One handling fried chicken which means she cant tou h any fully prepared/cooked items without washing up, changing apron etc. so that leaves one person to slice meats , dish salads etc. i walked up and the number i drew was 61 but the sign said they were serving 51. Didnt wait

I was shopping this morning 11/21 and the MOD, looked to be about 30, blonde hair, over weight, kind of tall. Anyway he walks up to several of his staff and starts to insult them in front of customers. Maybe if they paid higher then slave wages here the staff will work harder and you can hire a manager without the worlds biggest superiority complex in town. Store is super crowded since Safeway went out of business and to make things more crowded they always run out of the small carts, the online shoppers are in the way, and they close at 11pm when they use to stock the shelves during those times. I've decided to not support a business that pays 12 an hour in boulder county and has managers that are such jerks. Yes they are all Dbags here.

I want to give kudos to Kristi in the bakery! We were from out of state and needed birthday cupcakes, on the 3rd of July. She took time out of what she was doing getting ready for the 4th to personalize cupcakes for my daughter! Way to go, Kristi!

This review is specifically for grocery delivery. Y'all have like 2 people that will text and offer other items similar to what we wanted, and then y'all have everyone else that doesn't give a s*** and just refunds EVERYTHING. I had over half of my cart refunded because the store was restocking and this person didn't want to do their job finding the products we ordered. I guarantee if I go to king soopers today, EVERYTHING y'all refunded will be on the shelves. My shopper was Clyde C, do better.

As a full-time artist who works in his home studio, this is the place that I go to relax and get out of my head. The people I have gotten used to me and are all delightful. Everyone seems to be respectful and kind. In non-pandemic times I would come here at least once an afternoon to get a coffee from Nate in the little Starbucks there. I love that crew in that coffee shop. They are so kind and encouraging. I'm grateful for this grocery store. I recognize that we will soon enter a time when grocery stores will be obsolete and we won't have the joy of walking through the isles of random products and imagery. I'm enjoying it now.

Terrible place for social distancing. Despite the law some people don't wear masks and the store isn't enforcing the regulation, putting other shoppers at risk. And how hard is it to return carts? Come on people, let's be responsible consumers. Have not had any cleaning sponges for 3 weeks!

I have shopped here many times. People that work here are generally alright. Catherine and Peg who are cashiers are really nice and friendly. The pharmacy people are the best! Nova is so nice and personable. She is really so nice and caring. They really have a good team there. I do wish they had a bit more variety in some areas but they aren't as big of a store as other King Soopers in our town. It's close and that's fine by me. Deli is good and the people there are always friendly and helpful. It's a pretty clean and nicely light store too.
